  3. very yellow , yeah , i'm usually there at the weekend, but builder was over on Sat
  4. my ally tube frame bike is sitting in there next to my bridgeport mill
  5. headlight wrapped to match the tank panels, reg/rec and tail light mounts painted and fitted, and the front muddie mould (hopefully) ready ... and horn bracket
  6. one of my Nitron shocks has the titanium coloured spring , the blue spring colour is because it was the founders young daughters favourite colour
  7. remade the speedo pod too, moved the led's to in front , stop the wires interfering with the headlight
  8. muddie is starting to look like I want , thinking I'll give it a coat of resin and use it as a plug for a mould , it'll be stronger, lighter and a lot less of a bodge
  9. easiest way, full rear end from a donor bike, then its just lugs to tie it on , and a bit of work to make it look like it belongs
  10. time to get my arse in gear and finish this off need a low muddie to go with the new light, I gathered up a few bits n bobs from the shed and introduced them to mr angle grinder , then offered them to the bike lets see if I can turn it into something worth keeping
  11. Ram Air , on standard airbox rubbers , used them loads, tested on dyno and road
  12. so if anyone is looking to fit a motogadget mini this be much cheaper than one from Germany
  13. had to swap to one of the non led speedo pods, they'll be relocated got the headlight mounted, single bolt in top yoke and a pair of pegs into bottom one, it won't work with the high muddie anymore, not to worry
  14. light arrived, looks cool as fuck , going to take a bit of modification, but it'll work I think it won't be orange, might wrap it
  15. i crash tested my NRC cover, worked a treat , standard would have left me stranded

yellow wheels for the win , same as my tube frame (no pics, its a K4 engine , the old skool gods don't approve )
  18. hoping my perseverance has paid off, constant internet searching found this for not much more than an MT03, hopefully its a standard electrical plug , now we wait . I'll go put the blue light back on my GSX-R
  19. an inspired choice Captain, but too good for the likes of me, nothing special here, just a cheap budget bike built from freebies, second hand parts and what ever I could cobble up myself always open to the advice of our more senior members tho
  20. guess you can'nae please all of the people , yeah the MT03 is becoming the clitoris of headlights, but for the money I have available its the best fitting option, for a reasonable working headlight ....... unless of course you can recommend an alternative?
  21. too many people who actually know a thing or two advising against my headlight idea, figured I should at least entertain the idea, popped the light off my GSX-R for a mock up , those who's opinion I value enough to ask for it say it looks much better , it doesn't match my original plan, but it is £300 cheaper . I'll fab up some "temporary " mounts and try for a ten foot look
  22. no airbox, some people say it won't work, but I know someone on here for whom it just worked fine , and I have a power commander V and friends with a dyno, time will tell
  23. busy couple of days, sump has been treated to a few litre of putoline , so it seemed like a good time to poke 12v into the starter motor...... it cranked over fine, no clunks, bangs or anything else untoward then bleed up the brakes and clutch with the vacuum bleeder I borrowed from Dynotech Ecosse, they're shut for the festive season, turns the entire affair into a half hour job gear linkage is all connected with new left hand rose joint and nut i cut through the angle grinder cable with the angle grinder......... not my finest moment of the day filled the rad with coolant, then took the ugly ally water pipe off and welded the leaky pin holes (3 times) , if I had any dignity I would use this pipe as a template and weld a nice one (which was the original plan) ... but apparently l don't .... but then its not going to be dragged about shows to win ten bob trophy's , it's a tool for a job, that job being behaving like a twat fuel lines on next , they'll need some clips n stuff as the shock and exhaust occupy the same kind of area and I'd like to avoid any external combustion that'll do for now , back to it tomorrow
  24. if you can find a 2020 one for that price i'll take two
