only time i wrapped a set of headers the wrap absorbs water and rotted them
  5. oil cooler mounted, top bracket doubles as an engine spacer, bottom mount is a casing bolt. Apparently blue tooth oil coolers don,t work, so i better sort out lines..... and drill the engine, going to make a scoop to direct air through it too
  6. another bite taken out of the foot controls , near half way now...... but not quite
  7. foot lever, pedal things started, chipping away a bit at a time
  8. threw all its clothes on for a photo in the sun and started positioning the oil cooler
  9. got the can hung on the subframe, might mess about with position , and made a start on link pipe
  10. majority of the bodywork ready for clear... faking it with water here both guards made by me, tank top panel is a skinned stock item , front numberboard thing by me too
  11. made up a cover for the clutch actuator thingy , it needs a bit more machining on the cap, just looks a bit meh.... like a cheap tax disc holder
  12. realise this isn,t a very watery forum, but I made a housing for my temp sensor, and got the left hand pipe on. Turner at work did the lathe work, I done the milling (cant be claiming credit for someones work)
  13. not the best welding weekend... mask has decided that it wont always stay auto darkened when welding stainless tube with no filler, had to settle for just tacking the rest before I destroyed the full job . Works fine for Ally, but the gas run out ...too fast, hooked up a new bottle....hisssssssssss.... think regulators cracked on the upside, both headers in one piece, and the collector started and the ally water pipe started
  14. plenty better welding guys out there, but i,m reasonably pleased with myself. still needs two springs to hold these parts together, but they ordered front header still needs some work
  15. welded rings to the top of the bellmouths and had a colleague rad them in a cnc lathe
  16. glued together the bit of header that bolts to the head , shop bought bends weren,t going to cut it tight fit, but it fits i did a bit more to the other pipe, but made a cunt of it and chopped it off
  17. just proving a point , not the ideal space to check lean angles in mind....
  18. had someone on custom fighters ask if i could get enough corner lean with that pipe .... I reckon so (even with sag etc)
  19. stuck a wee tab on, easier than holdin it with one hand and trying to position the next bit sorted clamp rings made fits fine made a filler cap damper going no place now
  20. bends for the tricky bit are ordered, but not here yet, so make a start on the curvy bit
