  1. given these following facts regarding a right handlebar light switch :

    • 12 V feed to input wire is present

    • switch continuity between the 12V input and output wires is tested ok when you switch the switch on

    yet

no power through the output wire when the switch is put on ?

  2. loose valve clearance can affect compression readings.

stem seals can be culprits for oil burning.

may not need all that much to sort it out but if you have an engine spare you'd do well to pop it in while you go over/under/through the one you've got in the bike

Think the gs125 fits as well and Les than a tenner from China land.

    @Wagolafyi :

    thats the small diameter GN/TU.

Not compatible on oil cooled bikes

the one featured by @TJSthat fits his 400 is also the same smaller diameter

    GS use the small diameter

All GSX and GSXR 750/1100 OC+WC, and Bandit 600-1200 use the large diameter and can be swapped over

  4. no, I mean a petrol tank is vented to enable fuel to flow, otherwise it couldn't leave the tank. this is usually done through the tank cap.

I was under the impression that Oil and WC cooled GSXR are vented through the breather on the top of the tank, but SRAD onwards and all Bandits don't have the old GSXR type breather so i'm guessing the fuel caps went to being vented like most caps are ?

  5. looking good. and you're certainly putting that unused part i had on a cool project

regarding the Thunderarse forks the diameter is indeed the largest of factory RWU forks however the discs are the classic Yamaha dialing in at only 298mm so if you want anything larger you need caliper offset brackets (not a fan of those myself)

I've never seen exhaust restrictors in any spare parts diagrams for any slingshot and that included the restricted power JDM market slingshot spare parts manals I have here, nor spacers in the carbs like that. I believe exhaust restrictors and carb restrictors in slingshots could be a myth but as always, happy to be proven wrong

thats because the restrictor is welded into the headers at the entrance of the downpipes. there's no spare part to reference or show

1410040C04H01 general header part number for all markets 1991 1100

1410040C30 (E4) is the header part number for the french market restricted version with the welded pipes

example of a standard french ones here :

i misstated the carb restriction. it's the slides that need swapping or drilling the hole out that is there on full power bikes

  7. "supressed" here means "replaced by".

    40C00 10 20 and 30 are all referenced for the M/N 1100

there is no ECU reference for E04 market (France) which confirms the restricted versions had standard ECUs

They'll  probably all work the same anyway

Supressed = (possibly) restricted, for those countries that required lower max power.

    I have one for a K/L that I took off when swapped to a Dyna 2000 ?

i think the restricted oil cooled bikes were only done by the reducer rings welded in the header down pipes and the spacers in the carbs to prevent full opening.

the WC bikes had specific cams and ECUs to achieve the same effect
