  1. What is going on with those inlets on the top one ?
  2. Thanks, am really pleased with it.
  3. Hooraaa swinging arm finished apart from a crush tube & cleaning it up.
  4. I have a 1052cc motor with a ported dot head & cams ran 36mm carbs on it, goes like a screaming banshee lots of fun lol.
  5. I call it the Turbo Scratcher handles like a dream makes 260hp. Head stock is braced, big cross brace on frame under the back of the tank & braced on the inside of the frame around the swinging arm pivot also has subframe raised by 50mm, frame mods were done by NWS back in the day. Think it was a endurance race frame in a former life. This bike holds its own with any modern super bike, it's just me that's getting a bit old lol.
  6. Compressor wheel is 10% bigger than standard VF23. Am tempted to try it on my Scratcher but it is for my Harris build. Could always change the exhaust housing if not happy but it is going to be better than the td04l I have & like. You will have to have a go on the Scratcher @MeanBean49to see how it compairs to your Spondon.
  7. Rob at fast line turbo's built me this it's a hybrid IHI VF23 p18 exhaust housing ball bearing core with a 46mm compressor wheel. Rob says it will spin up faster than a VF23 & make more power(350hp), very helpful man he was.
  8. Need another trip to Wills for a bit more welding.
  9. Thank you. Still a lot to do but am starting to have fun with it now.
  10. Made some shock mounts up out of some 12mm ally plate. When welded up with the adjustable shock mount it will give me adjustment between 10 & 15 degrees for the swinging arm.
  11. Got Will to weld the braces onto the swinging arm.
  12. Had to cut down Sam's lovely faring bracket as it would not fit the harris yokes.
  13. Started to look at oil cooler position & it don't look like I have room for a 18 row cooler. Am planing on fitting a head cooler as well some where maybe like @fatblokeonbanditdid on his Magnum 2. What size cooler did you use at the front ship mate am thinking I can only fit a 16 row cooler on this.
  14. Thanks again @MeanBean49Yes read that last night. This one is supposed to spool up quick may be not quite as a standard vf23 but not as slow as the vf22, the best of bothe world's is how I see it.
  15. Why do you say that Rob ? Bought a rebuilt one (IHI VF23) today with p20 exhaust housing but a slightly bigger compressor wheel giving it 20 to 30% more power, new ceramic bearings & new wheels. Hopefully it will be good.
  16. Am looking at IHI VF23 what's people's thoughts on this turbocharger.
  17. Wasn't just quite happy with the look of the brace so moved it backwards & down a bit. Had a 1100 slabby swinging arm that was cracked where one of the bearings fits so chopped it up to make a cross brace for the shock brace to sit on.
  18. Running busa mk1 rods in my one making 260hp, done 3000 miles no problems so far.
  19. The nitron shock length is adjustable so no need for a adjuster on the arm as I was going to do.
  20. Fitted some more new swinging arm bearings & cut the big brace off the smaller top brace.
  21. Like the look of Keith Harris magnum 1 JMC swinging arm so going to make my one simlar.
  22. Yes I am aware of this, my one is going to be like the one in the pic on a magnum 1 JMC arm as well.
  23. I did buy a length of the bay of e for bottom JMC arm bracing.
  24. Thanks, just my way of holding it square & parallel.
  25. The JMC parts are sometimes on the bay of e.
