as previously mentioned @Swiss Toni to all intents and purposes the Kat 1000 crank case and gearbox are identical to any other GSX1100 set-up so its defo not as simple as that........
Kat 1000 motor shares the lower cases and simply had 998cc (or whatever) barrels / pistons to make it legal for Superbike Raving back in the day.......
a guy over Carlisle way supposedly had a load of the original jigs, etc. a few years back on egay but not sure what happened to it all - was quite pricey i think........
you cant be far away from me then as i have always lived around the Birtley / Ch-le-st area since very little.........
