  1. Maybe not a bad idea to make sure the throttle cable is installed correctly. I'd start with screwing down the carb fitting end to give the cable the correct slack and have room for fine tuning on the throttle adjuster on the top. Keep rolling the throttle till you get it to snap back. Tight cables can hold the throttle open and be slow to return. But before I'd do that, I'd strip, clean and rebuild the carbs, set floats and mixture screws, inspect manifolds and do the valve clearance to eliminate fuck ups.
  2. Those seals are fuckers for splitting. Genuine Suzuki ones aren't cheap for what they are. I bought a few in the past, something like £3 each.
  3. Here's a comparison chart. Handier getting the equivalent Mikuni jets individually. That way you can try and make up your own kit with a little trial and error.
  4. Yeah mate. All the info in the following links. Stage 1 only kit. http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/3151.pdf Stage 1/3 kit http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/3154.pdf Stage 3 only kit http://www.dynojet.com/pdf/3351.pdf
  5. I was asking pretty much the same question the other day and got no replies. I had a look on the dynojet website and found (with their kits) float heights are 11-11.5mm and 3.5 turns out on the mixture screws. Don't know if the settings are the same with standard internals though.
  6. Hi guys. Have a set of mk.2 bandit 1200 carbs and manifolds gathering dust on a shelf. Was thinking of using them on an 1127. Anyone know what the standard settings are? Float heights, turns out on mixture screws etc.
  7. Gsxr 1100 w forks fit yokes with a 50mm top and 55mm bottom so won't fit bandits yokes (43mm top and bottom) I've used a set of 1100 W forks with a set of yokes from a TL1000S and my bandit. Had to have a small bit of machine work done on the bottom yoke to fit a bandit stem and bore about .50mm so the forks would fit. The TL1000S yokes lockstops are a prefect match for the bandit headstock. Have about 3mm clearance from the the forks touching the oil cooler either side so have the maximum turn available.
  8. Slingshot 1127 usd forks are 20mm longer than the 750 items. The 1127 clip ons are 30mm thick where the fork passes through. So 20mm to 30mm would be a good set up range.

@captain chaos That blue and white slingy looks faster than the black and red ones.
  10. Yeah just a normal thread. Handy tip, wrap a piece of an old leather belt around the edge of the breather and carefully cramp your vice grip or gooseneck pliers on and turn. The breathers are made of chocolate and get wrecked very easy.
  11. Don't know the make of that one, but Akrapovic do a nice megaphone exhaust.
  12. Better off getting an slingy 1127 crank. The fly wheel on a gsxf is helical. 1052 and slingy 1127 are straight cut. Edit, just reread that you are using the gsxf outer basket. Can't see why it wouldn't work. Just plastigauge everything as you fit and take your time. Have a read of the Frankenstein guide to oilers. Some useful info in there. http://oldskoolsuzuki.info/archives/category/tuning/oil-cooled-tunning
  13. That's cute. Looks absolutely mint. 86 model. The Gag colours are cool. The other colour scheme Suzuki used that year was a horrendous all over baby pink. Saw them in an old jap catalog a while back. Pink one looks so girly.
  14. I have off the old site. Any use?
  15. The temp site had the info. http://old-skool-suzuki.proboards.com/thread/337/engine-bolt-sizes-cooled-motors
  16. The oil windows are a press fit. Here a link to a similar question asked a recently on proboards. http://old-skool-suzuki.proboards.com/thread/5480/oil-site-window
  17. As a first thread, why not show a Jap market vid of the 11 with the nicest colours all brand new going through its paces.

    My 1100M

What height are you Xander? That slingy looks like a 125 with you sitting on it!
  19. Here's a bigger pic. It's the super duper Yoshi version.
  20. If Suzuki had have done the decent thing, they would have sent us these bad boys instead. Then we'd be fighting over them instead of running them down.

Think @fatblokeonbandit might know. Now to see if the tag function works.
