WimBaas Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) What's the minimal size oilcooler required for a naked 1127? I want to lower my gsx et with 1127 engine but the 19 row oilcooler hits the fender when I go any lower. Can I go smaller because it's a naked bike? Or do I have to mount it to a different spot? Front forks or so? Regards. Edited January 22, 2017 by WimBaas Misspelled Quote
Solcambs Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 What width are you using currently? There is a 13 inch wide one IIRC 1 Quote
Paulm Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I ran a 16 row one on my turbo ET for a while Wim,only changed it for my own piece of mind really, would give you a bit more room. 1 Quote

Rene EFE Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Pyro and Pep (and probably more) run trackbikes without a cooler. Now, I understand this is very different from streetuse, but always proper full throttle; not something that would happen very soon on a regular roadbike. 2 Quote
Captain Chaos Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 had a Teapot 600 cooler on my 1127-engined EFE for many years without any problems. Only in warm summer weather (35 c) it got a bit hot while riding in heavy trafic. 1 Quote
gsx Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 1200 bandits run really small coolers, same ish motor just no fairing 2 Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 In had a 16 row setrab type on my tuned bandit for years, only went to 19 row when I 1216'd it, never had a problem 1 Quote
Fatmama Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Even here in Thailand my 1200 Inazumas never overheat with stock cooler. Even smaller then blandit stuff. Setrab for options and quality. Bandit cooler for value. 2 Quote
Diebythereaper Posted February 10, 2017 Posted February 10, 2017 I trust most brands, they come together in kits but are expensive. Standard B12 size OEM cooler would be the smallest I would ever go for safety, dont have one to measure though. Quote
