sharpy Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 Ive heard the same about VHT. neeed to paint a mates engine now im worried Quote
teltwosheds Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Vapour blast the engine and prime it then use a cellulose shade that matches it. This would last about ten years done properly. Quote
Cluffy Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 Simmoniz is now meant to be one of the best engine paint available but bloody pricey. Never used it.myself but been looking for a replacement for PJ1 1 Quote
Swirl Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 interesting keep this updated, need to paint a couple of engines soon 1 Quote
dupersunc Posted December 31, 2016 Posted December 31, 2016 My local paint supplier does custom matched 2k aerosols. I'm going to take a cam cover to him in the new year and give that a go. 2 Quote
Pheasantplucker Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 After talking to a fella in the VJMC at donnington last year I have painted a blasted gs750 engine with smooth hammerite spray! He said a friend of his did a Kat engine about 10 years ago with the same and it still looks mint. Time will tell..................................... Quote
