Solcambs Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 Any clues on how to tell one GSX1100 lump from another. Any obvious clues? I am pretty convinced mine is a "bits part special" - but would like to identify what was the original source bike to the motor for future spares reference. Quote

Solcambs Posted March 18, 2016 Author Posted March 18, 2016 Right ... defo a 1984 ES engine. NO real difference in power or torque, but the ES has a gear position indicator - which is no good if you don't have an ES dash to indicate said gear positions!! So the cable will be routed away and forgotten about :o). Quote
Captain Chaos Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 or install a neutral switch from an oilcooled engine for example. Straight fit. 1 Quote
johnr Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 just cut off the wires for the gear positions and leave the neutral light feed that it already has. Quote
coombehouse Posted March 19, 2016 Posted March 19, 2016 You can buy a chinese copy of the Suzuki gear position sensor on Eblag for a few quid & mount it somewhere if you want. 1 Quote
