TraxX Posted January 11 Posted January 11 In my 1246 1100 I am running a TSS Slipper (in a 1100 Basket, but there is also a Bandit Version) … the slipper mechanism works really nice, nearly as nice as on the Suter Slipper Clutches in my race Supermotos. The Stock Springs of the TSS Clutch with the standard Springcups are a little soft. I think for a Stock 1127 they are ok for track use. But with a modded engine they are ok for fast road riding but not for hard track usage. With a chinese Brembo Style Cable clutch Lever (running a Gsx750f sproket cover) the clutch is as light as the clutch of my ktm exc 300 enduro. I can ride through town traffic with just one finger on the clutch. So I think with stronger springs or just spring cups with more preload (they are avaible at TSS) the clutch should be fine for track usage. 1 Quote

Always nice to know this sort of thing Think they previously said 1100W, but I'm about to strip a 750W so I'm curious if I can use the basket in an oil cooled engine. Quick look at parts diagrams though shows the 750Ws and 1100Ws both had two different clutches. Looks like they both got changed after the first couple of years. So not sure which one they used in that swap. 1 Quote

Bow Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Been keeping track of this thread. im still looking at assembling the ultimate B12 clutch, and yes the GSXR 600/750k clutch swap is good, giving a 5 spring clutch that is far superior to the diaphragm setup, but the weak point is still the standard B12 basket. What I’m looking at at the moment is to use the steel basket from the RF900/GSXR1100w. Not found a cheap one to bugger about with yet, so I can get some measurements, so if anyone’s got one kicking around, can I borrow it. we already have the 5spring lockup system, and it works well, tried and tested in multiple engines, and can be dialled in to suit the rider. now I want to see if it will all work with the steel basket, but also be an easy drop in conversion,as the 600/750 kit is. 3 Quote
