    Big Bore B6?

Long stroke 750 barrels, pistons, and head, bolt on power, whilst keeping the original bottom end. No messing with DVLA that way. or, keep the 600 head, so carbs and airbox all line up.
  2. Can anyone help me out with the stock settings for the GSXR 750 38mm carbs please? jet sizes, mixture screw settings, needle clip position. just got my hands on this, and runs like crap as it’s fitted with chineseium pod filters, so I’m putting an airbox back onto it. thanks folks
  3. I’m in bud , definitely bring the EFE, and the turbo in reserve if needed
  4. I’m in if wanted, EFE and Turbo Bandit if enough room
  5. Take a look on Google for ( the bandit naughty list ) will give you a good idea as to what the UK bandits run on the 1/4 mile, N/A, Turbo, and nitrous. 1/8th mile is not particularly suited to turbo street bikes, as it’s all lost on the launch, unless you have a ridiculously long swingarm. my personal best 1/8th mile is 6.89, on a N/A 1157 motor, not used my turbo on the 1/8th, as it was built for 1/4mile.
  6. Forgot to add my EFE to this list, and if more bikes are needed, could always bring along a bandit or 2
  7. As already stated, GSXR cams if you can find a good set, decent exhaust system, ignition advancer, disconnect the infamous wheelie wire, port match your inlets to the head, upjet the carbs, junk the airbox, fit dual filters, then get it on a dyno and set it up properly. 1216 kit brings them alive , sod the turbo, I’ve got both, and prefer the N/A for normal road use then sort the brakes, suspension, handling, as you will find they don’t go round corners very well on 25year old knackered suspension
  8. Yes mate, Ultimate Streetbike is on again this season, running inline with the Straightliners Championship. Every round is a USB round this year, Best 7 out of 9 rounds to decide the winner. 1 of the qualifying rounds must be at Santa Pod ! There is also the invitation round at Jurby, Isle of Man, first weekend of September, that everyone who attended last year thoroughly enjoyed. A ferry deal will be announced later in the year ! 3 basic classes, Stock, Modified, and 2Stroke. same rules as last year, apart from a 1340cc limit in stock, to prevent pro stock motors being used in the Road class, to keep things fair.
  9. Best get my arse in gear and fix sumat, definitely up for a weekend of moonshine, more moonshine, fire, and good company
  10. would be interesting riding an unlicensed turbo dragbike up the A1, NOT !
  11. We do seem to be struggling for vans Hopefully I can get at least one of my bikes up there, if not both, probably be the turbo Blandit, Efe not sorted yet, rotor is still being a complete cunt
  12. I might have a couple I can bring along, turbo Blandit and the Efe.

    Bandit 12 torque

Your not looking at the bigger picture, the Mk1 had better carbs, different ignition map, and none of the EGR crap. the engine itself, was basically the same performance wise. It was all the ancillary items fitted that altered the hp and torque to meet with the European legislation at the time. if you want easy power out of a mk2, fit a Dyna 2000, GSXR1100 cams, and Mk1 carbs. Then junk all the EGR circuit. Makes them lively enough for the piss poor chassis and suspension/brake setup.
  14. Getting everything prepped to rebuild the top end on my Efe. Who are folks using for cylinder head work ? I know Roger does them, but he’s packed out with jobs, I’ve purchased 1.5mm oversized valves and need the head machining to suit the valves. Recommendations folks, did ponder SEP, as they are not to far away from me, and prefer face to face contact.
  15. Was not loopie who flow tested them. Both Roger Upperton and Paul Cumpstone have flow tested them, and both came to the same result. this was done a few years ago when we were building my lads 1340 nitrous bandit. In the end we used a shim head, simply for the fact of bigger valves and better flow.
  16. At last, shabby bandit will be back at Pod next weekend. Bike has been ridden for a few miles on the road, and I can honestly say, I’m a bit apprehensive. When I ran a Busa a few years back, I thought it was quick. But the turbo is a whole new ball game. Once this bugger spools up, it’s an animal. Will be interesting to see how it goes on a prepped track, that’s if the fool holding the throttle does not dump his ass on the track by doing something daft. Its a short wheel base at 63 inch, as I’m waiting on another chain to arrive for the 68 inch arm, but I’ve buggered about long enough, time to race it, and a few more of the fellow bandit racers are coming out for a play. Will let you know how we get on after the meeting. when the lights drop, the bill shit stops !
  17. Thank you guys, that’s precisely the information I needed. went over the unit this afternoon and measured my inlet vacuum, comes out at -8 inHg, so going by the calculations, I need to purchase a 6psi spring. @Gixer1460, that TiAL info sheet is extremely helpful, and I’d not even thought of using my vacuum gauges, blinded by posh individual gauges I’d been looking at thank you .
  18. Morning folks, now I finally have my turbo bandit up and running, having an issue with the BOV chattering all the time. So know the spring pressure is way to low. Do any of the wise ones have any idea of the vacuum inHg on a bandit 1216 motor on tickover ? I don’t have a gauge accurate enough to measure it. Looking to install a correct pressure spring, rather than stabbing in the dark. TiAl Q50 BOV copy,as fitted by Loopie when we built the kit.

    EFE CAMS

@Duckndive you don’t happen to have a pair of G4 grind Efe cams in your hoard you’d be willing to part with by any chance ?
  20. 1216 high comp pistons, SUZ1 cams, dynojetted stock carbs, decent headers and can,15/47 gearing. 148rwhp. you don’t have to spend a fortune to get them going well. plenty fast enough, grin inducing coming out of bends and junctions, upgrade fork internals, rear shock, and look after your brakes. Good fun on the road, even with the flexible frame .
  21. Just a little update. Bandit is finally rideable, time to put a few miles on it to see if it will self destruct before taking it to Santa Pod and give it a proper shake down. not going to be silly with it, just get some runs in, and see how it reacts. Airshifter needs fitting before Pod, but as this has been on the bike for a few years now, that will not take long. Ill update again once I’ve run it, then if all goes well, run it for the full season next year, alongside the ET build that is planned for USB. feels good, being back at it
  22. Was a good weekend bud, same time, same place next year
  23. Thanks for the input guys, I’ve always used a MRE electric over air system, 60ms kill. Coil kill only. going to use the same kit now the bandit is turbo’d, just did not want to blow the new motor because of my own ignorance running a turbo. have had enough issues with this build , do not want to create more
  24. If it’s stumbling around the 3-4k mark, it’s the pilot to needle transition, go smaller on the pilot jet.
