And so it begins

Well here I am again after a long break

been nuts busy with work and garage

post some photos in a bit

but I’ve done :

made rear caliper hanger ( well part done now going with 2 rear callipers for thickness and thumb brake )

re spaced rear wheel as when I re checked wasn’t 100%

machined sprocket carrier and had a bit richness with 2 sprockets to fit

made bushes for rear shock now 100% done

mounted bars

fitted nitrous inlets

made oil cooler mounting as I thought standard angle thing looked boring

oil cooler takes offs changed to swivels as  -8 fouled exhaust

that’s about it for now

This is an interesting idea? IMG_4739.jpeg.6c3d8b0dba4ce2c58544bd3260ced31a.thumb.jpeg.4061d1496ef4c651d0585f18fddc7d97.jpeg

A very generous way of putting it I think, bad would be more to the point.

I'll get a comfy chair and await the outcome.

Just wandering what the thinking behind this is.

Not yet finished  need washers and changing bolts for shoulder bolts  ( these are fully Thread{fed )

once done I’ll give it a go if it doesn’t work then I’ll need idea MK2 maybe a one off carrier

needed to get sprocket inboard to line up chain , centre of wheel lines up with front

surely 10 x bolts will be enough ? Happy to take advice on it

If the outer bit gets slightly off centre chain tension will start to vary. Worst case it'll create a lot of chain tension and subsequently increase load on output shaft (bearing).

That's if it sticks in the excentric position. Personally, for a dry build I'd say fine.. ragging something cheap around a field also fine. Permanent on a build like this? eerrr.. nope!

Could you tell a little more about this? Is this a nut disguised as a bolt?

And kinda looks like wood screws on the radius, what's up with that? :v

Would it be possible to use a 525 chain and sprockets to get you where you want to be, these look like 530. I'm using 520 on the Moto Martin to get me where it needs to be. My Turbo Harris has a 525 setup with a front offset sprocket.

I've twice had similar problems over the  years. First, problem was not enough offset on TZ spocket carrier and I got Talon to make me an offset rear sprocket. Second, was too much offset on a race wheel sprocket carrier and to fix that took a new, bespoke sprocket carrier that moved the sprocket inboard :).

Hi mate  I’m sure there will be a way

eitger offset front  and std rear

or get the wheel turned down at the face

only problem with that would be it would bring the chain closer to rear tyre
