  1. I’ll try and get a few late nights in this week to align wheels sprockets and make some spacers then attack the calliper hanger
  2. One step forward 2 back rear wheel mounted to get shock length but rear brake caliper hanger no good. Ha ha. The joys of motorcycling

He lived next to me clever f@ker tried to give me a lesson in frame geometry but he was too clever for me spent a bit of time with him used to go up Saturday after the Hill or call on an evening quietly spoken genius he was a bit of a bible basher when we first met but never pushed it( maybe he could see I was a lost cause) well into it later on he made quite a few frames ( more than 3 ) here’s the man himself in a Lewis leathers advert And another of his projects weirdly says designed by Jacob Saunders

Not much to see this week as I’ve been busy with other things fully bolted the engine properly removed the swinging arm to measure for spacers for rear shock oh the front brakes turned up and fitted as well as mudgaurd Rear sprocket arrived that’s about it oh mounted the coils might get a bit done tomorrow on the oil cooler lines

  7. ill post this in here and the main forum as i think its only fair Mark Walker/Martek have had a bit stick of late for non delivery etc well i had discussions with him re a frame or a Kat frame some time ago, when i bought this i rang him for some advice and he was very forthcoming. i needed a few bits that were missing we did a deal on a price and i got a good feeling about him we did have a heated discussion on delivery etc Me stating what i heard, him putting his side forward. Anyway i give him a deposit and agreed a delivery date. Everything arrived on time as promised cant fault the bloke speak as i find I'm going to order a Tank next
  8. Yep you get the side trays and tie down points which go on side anchor bolts etc too
  9. Yep it’s good to see a change Not used them a lot as just in this week but they are solidly built they. Are a copy of pro bike no doubt In the garage where the ramps are used daily with heavy kit on we bought 2 2 year ago year and not a pick of bother we have 6 US Bendpacks too ( the best you can get ) the Automech are just a copy of those too. we only bought them as we couldn’t get Bendpack because of Covid
  10. Need a bandit sprocket cover, clutch slave cylender and gear position indicator if anyone has for sale

  12. Next up I’ve got a big list of nuts and bolts required which I’ll get Monday too as a lot of stuff is just pinned

It’s always the daft little things that catch you out resevoir for tear shock hits the frame so need to find one that fits not shown the best on the pjoto ( never promised I was David Bailey ) been trying to get a rear sprocket to suit as standard on the Aprilia is 40t which is a bit small for normally aspirated GSXR so I’ll order one from Talon Monday
  14. Front Brembos rear HEL see what I mean ? I’ll ring HEL Monday see if I can get a deal
  15. fitted the Brembos but having second thoughts now as they look crap against the Rear HEL
  16. Swinging arm in then front end decided to keep the wheels the original colour for time being as I’m unsure of colour scheme for bike yet i have replaced wheel bearings and disc bolts for titanium though
  17. Fit is tight as fuck reminded me of a girlfriend I had once fanny as tight as a mouse’s ear…. But that’s another story had to remove cam feed links it’s tgat tight ( need another plan for that
  18. So engine on bench and fit frame

Not done much over the last few weeks as been busy at work. plus I decided to re organise workshop to free up some space as new ramps were inbound. anyhow enough of that shut started today at 09:30 ive learnt over the years it’s much easier fitting the frame to the engine is easier than engine to frame
  20. Yep nice need the yokes machining by 1mm to fit
  21. Forks cleaned ready for strip and service
  22. New carb rubbers and carbs fitted need to start on chassis next going to strip forks and shock watch this space
  23. Carbs sorted and belmouths fitted tge 2 centre belmouths fouled each other so needed a minor trim
  24. Alternator stripped and cleaned and fitted clutch in ignition pick ups fitted and covers on
