Prime Posted April 14, 2020 Posted April 14, 2020 Curious to know peoples views on what frames you could use instead of an 82 era 759/1100 katana seeing as they are scarse would have all the katana 1100 bodywork etc I’ve briefly looked at things like ez, inazuma, and et frames etc just pondering until I find what I want cheers Quote
Fazz711 Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 If you want it to look like a Kat use a Kat frame. Easiest to fit the body work to. An ET would be very similar but will need changes to fit Kat body and fairings. 1 Quote

Yes I’m totally with you there I’m not ready to settle for anything other than one at the moment was just a thought haha Quote
wraith Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 All depends on how much work you want to do, using a kat frame @Fazz711 said is the vast and easy way but ET frames can be used with mods on brackets, or if you really want to go for it, I sore a very nicely done gsxr with full kat body work on it at one of the OSS party's in Derbyshire. Blubber Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 The ESD also is twin shock , round tube , correct era and an overall decent donor. It already has faring mounts on the frame and a good engine. This model: Quote
gsx Posted April 15, 2020 Posted April 15, 2020 I did one with 11 esd frame and was lot of work to get every thing lined up , managed to score a 750 Kat frame eventually and well worth the effort swapping it all over 1 Quote
Tony Nitrous Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Interesting info. Thanks folks. Ive had my eye for a Kat frame (in Brisbane) but haven’t found anything suitable. I do have an ET frame though. No rush, I’ll keep looking but threads like this are interesting. Quote
Prime Posted April 26, 2020 Author Posted April 26, 2020 Well I settled for no less and have a 82 kat frame to collect once all this lockdown is done well and truly chuffed to bits 3 Quote
