ElVikingoTropical Posted October 3, 2019 Author Posted October 3, 2019 Back after some issues with part to arrive and fitting. The engine is now in place but I haven’t still finished the cylinder head. The front and rear suspensions is now in place with tailor made spacers and bushings. Rearsets has arrived as well but still need some fitting to put it in place. I still need to finish the cylinder head. Brought also a GSX750F 89” engine as it was cheap, but the guy who sold me it told me that it’s was leaving a lot of oil smoke. I have opend it up and it’s need pistons sonI leave this one for future projects 1 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted October 8, 2019 Author Posted October 8, 2019 Once I begun sanding the faring I discovered that this was painted leaving the stickers under the paint..... So I had to remove all layers of paint leaving a horrible surface... Once this was done I base coated it and sanded it again with 180 sand paper, this afternoon I have base coated again I hope this will be enough to get a nice finish at this old plastics 1 Quote
ElVikingoTropical Posted October 13, 2019 Author Posted October 13, 2019 Today I spayed the layer of paint on the street plastics . I just had to fit all parts at the bike to see how it fits. I’m still waiting for the new racing faring and single seat to arrive, 2 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted October 15, 2019 Author Posted October 15, 2019 I found at the net the workshop manual pdf for my bike, now timing is ok but once I removed the gasket from the valve cover I discovered that this is badly damage by aluminium oxidation..... 1 Quote
Swiss Toni Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 Get another cover, Jan. They're prone to leak from there at the best of times! 1 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted November 20, 2019 Author Posted November 20, 2019 One cuestión? What differences is there between the long stroke engine 85-87 with the later one? The first is marked 59 and the second 80, I suppose it’s about the stroke but are they interchangeable? I have been measuring them and I can’t find any differences! Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted November 27, 2019 Author Posted November 27, 2019 Here comes a stupid story: My head light cover arrived today in good condition from UK, my intelligent brother in law picked it up an trove it over my hose fence in front of my garage, then my wife came home and run the car over the packet... To be honest I have to laugh about it just not to pull the hair of my head (impossible as I’m bald-headed)! 2 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted October 25, 2020 Author Posted October 25, 2020 Hi again I had a pause under some months as I crashed in June braking the left shoulder at three places and the clavicle. But now I’m back again with this little toy. The rear sets is at place and at a correct height. 2 Quote
ElVikingoTropical Posted October 25, 2020 Author Posted October 25, 2020 I cutted the faring making it more sharp looking, made new brackets lighter for the headlights, faring and clusters 1 Quote
