The idea was to have this bike ready for a event at Tenerife in October which isn’t impossible, But having in mind that I will be out on a 3 week family journey in August don't make things easier exactly.. But I will do my best to finish in time Quote

Racer-X Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 (edited) Loving the build, very impressive....the bike you started with looks like you rode through a British winter and then just stored it in a leaky shed! Edited July 19, 2019 by Racer-X Bad spelling Quote

Ya the bike wasn’t very fancy when I brought it home... The reason why the piston was broke is due to that the piston pin went out of oil, I did notice when I pulled in the new piston that it was going in ruff compare tu the other three ons. So I was up to have a look at this yesterda, but my back had other plans! I was just to lift up the engine to the working bench and my back said crack! I went to the medical for a couple of injections and now her I am in horizontal in my sofa... Very annoying I have to say! At least I had time to spray some base coat on the oem wheels Quote
ElVikingoTropical Posted July 25, 2019 Author Posted July 25, 2019 I just received the the chasis from powder coating to day, My back is still hurting but I justa had to build a bit on this toy! 3 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted July 27, 2019 Author Posted July 27, 2019 Small updates from yesterday, my back pain is worse so I won’t do nothing to the bike this weekend. Hopefully I better next week as this will be the last days before leaving for holidays 2 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted August 26, 2019 Author Posted August 26, 2019 Back from holidays in my garage this afternoon. i bought the cheapest piston compressors from China and they worked well once I cut the compressor rings at half as they was to wide for a short stroke bike engine. I made also a couple of wood plates to block the pistons to move during the installation 4 Quote
ElVikingoTropical Posted August 28, 2019 Author Posted August 28, 2019 This afternoon had some time for my little ratbike so I welded the together the shocker support from the OEM 86 say what now!? to the later and wider swingarm.I have opted for this more modern unit as I like the look and as it’s take much wider rims.I still need make some minor works at it as the the axel diameter of the wheels and chassis not the same as in the swingarm. After that I will send it for powder coating in black. 3 Quote
ElVikingoTropical Posted August 29, 2019 Author Posted August 29, 2019 At least the bike is down on the floor on its wheels, this feel very nice to see again. I’ve spent this afternoon adjusting the suspension linkage to get the correct hight at the rear. 2 Quote

ElVikingoTropical Posted September 8, 2019 Author Posted September 8, 2019 Good morning Do any of you gentlemen’s know where I can find a new, nice & not to expensive oil radiator? I want to have the bike ready before one month for a bike meeting and I feel a bit stressed...... Engine is now in place but without the cylinder head, I have ordered exhaust valves new and one intake unit. A local work shop is putting in new valve seats in it at the moment Quote
Blubber Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 The radiator itself isnt generally the dearest part. It's the extra fittings you need to connect your new cooler If you still have the original hoses, a copy might help you. Aaron Radiators ltd helped me out. Mine was on stock, including delivery around 200 gbp. Quote
Blubber Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Dunno what happened but there is text hidden in the white lines Quote
