B6 inlets on dot head

I’m a bit baffled here.

The j/k 750 had 36mm carbs.

So the bandit 12 carbs I got should fit on my 750 dot head but they are no where near!

oogled the numbers and look like they are off a bandit 6.

Why would you put smaller carbs on a 750? I don’t get it :|

Someone's possibly previously had the head or engine fitted into a bandit 600 and used the 600's carbs

DOT head won't fit a 600 Bottom end! More than likely someone has had the proper 38mm 750 rubbers and tucked you up with something black and inlet rubber shaped!

The 750 GSXR version had 38's with a different casting that  'down drafted' the carb angle - the one off the 750F (or whatever it was called) may have used 36's - not sure if the casting was the same?

I've tried to find out if the two head applications are the same, bar the cams, for years. Still none the wiser! But ... I can't see the Japs casting two identical heads, the only difference being the inlet stub size and angle? They're more 'parts bin specialists' than the British bike industry! Were the GSXR/Teapot valve sizes the same too?

Gsxr 750 J K & dot teapot gsx 750f heads, valves & inlet rubbers are the same only the cams are different. Valves are same size as 1100 & 1200 models. Inlet angle is steeper than other heads.
