If you don't have the original fairings, its a good occasion to fit yoshi replica fairings for slabside GSXR

Simple and only required reason :

They look awesome

One thing I have found invaluable when restoring a bike I haven't owned from new, so therefore don't know how complete it is, is to get hold of the microfiches. If you Google Alphasports they have the fiches for all Suzooks and you will find those essential.

Well, 5 years on , I did some man maths and ...Well I won a stunning example of a bike on the bay, Did 450 kms in 2 days and love it.

How ever, now I have a bike to compare it seems I am not missing as much as I first thought on the project...so 2 days after buying bike 1 , I am re energised into doing the project.

It helps I have been collecting odd bits over the tears...

Hi , Spoke to you at boxhill the day after you bought the new one. Did your mate get one as well  , he was going to look at one that evening.

I have a complete slabbie,  and a project one too , both ex ET bikes on here and loads of panels.  You have my number if you wanna come see them.

Cheers puddy

Parts diagrams are going to be your biggest help with random stuff like this. Most online parts suppliers have them online, or search around and you can find PDF versions of them too. The first one has a nut insert that goes in there, the second one no idea.

Any idea what should be in the end of the fairing support at the back of the upper fairing?.

I'm guessing it should have a thread in it.

Has an expanding push in rubber grommet type fitting that the fairing bolts into ,same part as the windscreen nuts
