  1. Quick question im picking up an EFE motor for the Kat and am wondering if the slabby 11 34`s i have, would have any advantage over the stock EFE carbs ? i presume they would flow more ? Not to mention making the engine purchase alot cheaper if i dont take the EFE carbs
  2. Unfortunately not
  3. Some seem to get problems while others do not, my original 98 Bandit owned 21 years now and with 168k kilometers has had no problems whatsoever . A recently aquired 2000 model showing only 62k has a noticably noisier transmission especially in third. Do we think a stubby can would help reduce the unwanted trans noise .......
  4. +1 for the hi flow filters have used them for years and many miles
  5. Welcome Gordon ! That looks fast standing still
  6. Sorry guys thats my bad, badly formulating the question So 1100 slabby frame 1100 1200 motor can i use the 750 engine mounting plates to fit the engine ?
  7. Apart from the rear lower mount bolt being of a larger diameter on the 1100. Are the rest of the engine mounts plates bolts the same for both 7 & 11
  8. Shiney Nice find its a great feeling popping the lid on an new unopened factory packed tank
  9. Does anyone know if the 1100 and 750 slabside airboxes the same size ? Thanks
  10. Thanks Yes im thinking so having gone over it, the rear of the frame needs a tweek or two to get the panels lined up otherwise its good runs sweet i still need an airbox
  11. In my defence i did need an airbox....... An 85 with alot of parts and 1100 motor. Happily the original 85 exhaust came with the deal
  12. I finally got the chance to spend a few hours on the bike. Amazingly it is all here apart from the airbox. So i need to decide if i need to look for an airbox or go with filters, so question who`s running what filters on the stock factory flatslides and to what effect . Starts and runs on a remote tank but erratically so carb strip tomorrow. Nice to have found a solo seat cowl in the box of parts too I have allready started throwing money at it, so it moves up from garage ornament status to project.
  13. Excellent thanks for the id Cap Certainly looks a very nicely made exhaust
  14. Can anyone id the exhaust. I can find no markings
  15. Agreed so nice to fine a project that has not been hacked about. Hopefully get her outsider to blow/Wash off some dust tomorrow , then piece her together. Looks to be more or less all here though
  16. Yes super happy with those
  17. The projects just keep on lining up i managed to sneak this one into the garage under the cover of darkness to avoid unwanted comments, ignorance is bliss and all that ........ It has been parked up a good few years, but looks to be the basis of a nice slabbie. Nice exhaust header, Ohlins shock, slingshot wheels . For the time being i shall bolt it together to see what i need
  18. Just been having a look for Delkavik then Black Widow headers for my Kat neither have GSX models listed anymore, have they stopped making them or are they just out of stock ? Anyone know the score
