  1. Just thought I'd post an update to my GSXR 7/12 project. I started out with a very neglected 1989 GSXR 750 along with a 1997 Bandit 1200 which donated the engine, wheels, brakes, front end and wiring harness. The rear swing arm is from a 1994 GSXR 1100. The exhaust header is from a 2005 GSXR1000. Over the winter I fitted Renthall tubular bars, new Mikuni RS38 flat slide carbs with pod filters, had a friend paint the tank , tail and front fender in a 1989 RR colour scheme.Planning on a 1216 cc kit and GSXR 750 cams next winter.
  2. Thanks ! I will start looking for one of those.
  3. Let me start by saying hello ! I started a 7/11 or more correctly 7/12 project back in November when I found a very neglected 1989 GSXR 750 for sale. After picking up the GSXR I found a 1997 Bandit 1200 for sale complete, running and in fairly good shape. The Bandit has donated the engine, carbs, wheels, brakes , forks, switch gear and wiring harness. I bought what I was told was a GSXR 600 swing arm, later to discover it was actually from a 1998 GSXR 1100 and quite a bit longer than the original, which brings me to my question, what other options are there for braced, short ( 750 length ) swing arms that will work with the Slingshot chassis? I had spacers machined up for the swing arm bearings and used the later larger axle with the Bandit rear wheel and it all worked out fine except I don't want the increase in wheel base. I was curious if an SRAD swing arm will work? Thank you in advance for any help.
