  7. Been beating my 600f rocker cover for hours, sounds loose around the out side but it won't come off. Seems to be the plug hole seals. Any one got any tips for getting them unstuck. the engine is cold and I had them off a few months back when I put the bike together, but now it's just not having it!

  9. Strim em and check the rack rods. you could have a bent one or corroded cos some things not right
  10. My bike was sat for years. I never bothered with valve clearances, except checking them. It's now had an Italian tune( I love that term) and only now after a thousand + miles she needs shims oil and filter, sump off and oil pick up check. then it's time to see what it can do oh and new pads all round. Well that's how I've allways done it where shims are involved cos of the expence of the shims and the time it takes.
  11. Slacken the screws that hold the buterflys to the rack and they should, with a bit of gentle wiggling sit flat
  12. Hello and welcome Yeh those colourtuners are well worth it when you have to mess with mixture screws. Espescialy if they've been over tightened
  13. Are your arms parallel on the lever and gear shaft linkages? (it's caught me out before dough!)

  15. It's a special job for special people seriously if you got the workshop, tools and understand how to utilise it all you can do anything
  16. Yeh try dropping them lol. Seriously, have you checked your cam chain, ign timing etc? flaming on the overrun is a sign of excess unburnt fuel in the exhaust. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will pipe up
  17. VJ must stand for Very Jammy. If you rode it the valve must have bent above the guide before snapping and not dropped into the combustion chamber
  18. Tidy . I must admit I put my frame over the engine with no suspension or lower cradle fitted. I then tilted it forward to get the stand down, fitted the rear end then tipped it back and fitted the rest one 600 teapot sorted on my own ps it does help with the shed floor being earth covered with old chipboard and bits of carpet lol
