  1. Very true, as another saying goes, ignorance of the law is no defence! you rest your case Still feel for them though, always been a bit soft, in more ways than one so im told !!!!
  2. Do our brothers and sisters across the pond know what a gsxf is? being marketed as katanas over there, just curious to know.
  3. As I said, they sent the wrong chain pitch so it's not mounted on the bike, he told me when I ordered it that I would need to cut it to the correct length.
  4. Well spotted that man, I was wondering who'd spot that first I counted the side plates!!!!
  5. Its correct for the stock efe arm so im led to believe.
  6. I have a 17 tooth front sprocket, looks like ill have to stay off motorways Thanks anyway for the advice, mucho appreciated
  7. They sent me one with 65 links plus the softlink so I'm assuming they know what they're selling. Problem now is I checked the pitch tonight and found the chain is 525 and sprockets are 530, I'll be on the phone in the morning. Will send pics when I eventually get it sorted.
  8. Just goin to fit one on mine, chain technology has come a long way as in smaller, stronger and lighter. Love those black chains btw, super trick and super price
  9. Thanks, I'll torque them to settings as per manual and if they fail I'll just buy new ones.
  10. Haven't a clue what it was but you can be sure if I come across it again the gasket will be in the bin
  11. Thanks for the tip, this wasn't a 'bit' of instant gasket, I think the previous owner had shares in it, I timed myself cleaning it. A whole hour and a half of my life I can't get back! I'm suspicious there will be a leak.
  12. Glad you said that as i have just finished peeling the old instant gasket off the one I took off, it was everywhere and the reason I had to ask the question. Thanks
  13. Top man, that's good enough for me, thanks.
  14. Can the rubber rocker gasket and those rubber washers under the fixing bolts on an EFE be re used ? Or am I just being a tightarse?
  15. Don't worry about the mess,my garage is like that. Would have been scratching my head as well with the j spindle. To be honest I've done quite a lot of work on her, she's not far off! I've been collecting intact bodywork for a couple of years so now saving for paint job. Now you've mentioned it she does look neglected gathering dust in the corner so I'll drag her out Saturday and send u pics
  16. If you've had no joy by weekend I'll drag mine out of the corner and whip the front wheel off and measure it. Did you get measurements what you have?
  17. Great tip that, will bin that idea then
  18. OoIn the process of trying to get organised and found a couple of old efe shocks in my stash. Question is can they be rebuilt to somewhere near serviceable condition? As I am trying to keep one of my efe's as close to standard as I can.
  19. Thanks again guys, very helpful and gives me plenty of options to think about. I have quite a few parts hanging around including a complete efe in bits that have been collecting dust for a while. Now got a bit more time on my hands with this lockdown thing, so just tidying up my fairly standard efe ready for the big escape and making plans for the above. Im a slow mover but will do a project thread when i get organised.
  20. I have a gsxr1100m front end and a bandit 600 back wheel, would that setup work with the standard arm or would the front tyre be too wide and upset the geometry? Cheers.
  21. Thanks for that info, great help. Where I'm also concerned about is the angle of the arm and which shock is best for the job as I don't want the questionable handling to be any worse. The alternative would be to leave the existing arm and fit a 5.5inch gsxr wheel in that, I have a wheel is this a straightforward fit?
  22. I'm sure this has been asked before so please forgive me as I don't seem to be able to find any info on here. I want to fit a gsxr/bandit swingarm to my efe, any info much appreciated. Also, does anyone do drag slots for the above? Cheers.
  23. Ok, I stand corrected (see above) very nice scoot phil
  24. Well spotted that man, believe it or not I had a 750J. Was thinkin 1100 for some reason. Yes I am a dopey bastard
