  1. Sold the TMR's and the Techserfu pipe with the Dymags for nice profit. Work commitments and a health issue combined with a messy relationship split got in the way of the build, so I am now starting again. I still have the L0 BPF's and the Brembo M4's. Now looking at a similar project but over a longer period. Paint job design is sorted (Sid Lucky Design) Stage1. Was get it back together and running, stage 2, I will either replace the arm with something more modern or get the existing one top braced with a captive rear caliper this winter. Maybe get the forks and a light set of wheels into it with a racefit pipe if I can, along with the paint job but the budget is less now so we will see how it goes. Good to see you here Dunc!
  2. Because of the linkages? Or the top mount positions?
  3. Thanks guys, this is exactly the sort of info I need. :)
  4. Need some advice guys. What fits a slingy from other bikes, without serious mods? Thinking things like rear sets, swingarms, calipers, carbs, engine covers, etc For instance I hear K4 Ti down pipes fit with a bit of persuasion but what link pipe? What about parts from these and others..Blandit 12? GSXR1000? SV1000? There seems to be a fair amount on the interwebs but I'm after some genuine experience before I start spending my hard earned.. Any advice and experience appreciated Cheers Jay
  5. Haha Roughly translated into.. "Sir, I rather admire your choice of wheel and I believe it is a very nice option to have on any motorcycle such as yours"
  6. So I've finally got this old bus back on the road. I bought it as a base for a big project that is temporarily on hold. So I thought best get it ridden rather than staring at a bunch of parts.. The build will commence in the new year but until then it's boggo standard but for Ti cans and an Ohlins shock. To get to this point involved a full build from parts, carb strip, full service and a thorough going through with a significant amount of help by Mark White (M&M motorcycles) as I am out of the UK too often to sort it myself... Edit to add. Mark is by far the best bike mechanic I have ever known. If you want real quality and no bullshit with an attention to detail that Banoffee would be proud of, you can't go far wrong with Mark. He is based in the Peterborough area.. (Known for Performance Bike Magazine bike builds) quality work at very reasonable prices. A proper old skool bike shop and bloke.
  7. Love the 21, I will never forget the day I first saw one in Performance Bike Magazine when they first came out. Stunning and beautiful bike.
  8. Best mod for this bike. Transforms the handling when it gets hot.
  9. Im sure I have seen adaptors for RS carbs to atandard airbox, surely this is the best option?

    Restricted?

    Brilliant, thank you!
  11. Haha Im guessing that would be a handfull around any circuit let alone Cadwell. Where next Mallory?
  12. That is extraordinary. Excellent skills and a propoerly different and brutal looking bike.
  13. Yar, me and a few guys are riding down thia year and taking in the sights and roads on the way back. Im taking the 1100N if I can get it together in time, it will be fun to see just how much quicker they are given they are all on new hyper kit.
  14. Thats going to be lovely when finished.
  15. Haha, I used to hack of 50% of the pad material on my Supermoto to stop it locking up and help with getting it sideways. I never use the rear brake anyway but for that sort of silliness on bikes like that.
  16. Tidy, follows the frame lines well.

    Restricted?

Sure, if i was buying a fiull system (which I will be at a later date) then I would be looking at quality but as we are only talking end cans, couldnt see any reason past build quality. A Racefit beckons at a later date or even a Techserfu. (had a Techserfu along with 41mm TMR's ready for the big build but sold them at profit) But for now.. cheap end cans it is. For now I want to get to decent power by de restricting it. So should I fit a jet kit or not, or just get it to a dyno and jetted properly? Cost Vs quality I guess. Has anyone got experience of just replacing cans? What else did you need to do? Thanks Jay

    Restricted?

Nice one, so it's just the exhaust... Excellent. And oh yeah I remember that plonker well enough. Haha Thanks guys

    Restricted?

ah ok thanks! No Dynojet kit? What would you suggest instead? Factory pro? It felt healthy when I last rode it. It is completely standard as far as I know. A full service carb balance and exhaust is about to happen (if I can find a decent pipe). Saw those titanium Danmoto cans on Fleabay. Cheap enough and look ok... Thoughts?

    Restricted?

Now then, Currently rebuilding an 1100N, (white and blue shell suit special) it's completely stock with original exhaust and filters/airbox etc. When rummaging through the stack of paperwork I got with it I found a dyno sheet from 2011 that showed only 116bhp. Very clean line but it seems a bit low.. I'm guessing it's at the wheel however, Questions are: Is it restricted then? If so where? Should I be worried? Is it just a case of exhaust and filter + jet kit to release the power? Thanks Jay
