  1. Cause I'm a tight arse I 'skillfully' superglued aerosol spray can straws. red ones, can tell. Cheers Andrew.
  2. As an example https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h441223148 https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/q333108426
  3. Here is a 2 valve head motor, GSX crankcase prostock motor. At the time 1655cc 18:1 compression 300-350 hp 50mm intake valves 50mm lectrons. They now run 1800cc The guy who builds these motors Peter Allen built my 1260. Not much help but 2 valve porn. Cheers Andrew.
  4. I have seen these type of add on fins for GSX1100 motors on Japan Yahoo. Couldn't find the exact ones again but these give you an idea, but they go over existing fins. https://www.omegaracer.com/parts_store/prod_2881734-Yamaha-SR-Engine-Cooling-Fins.html#sthash.wciDnjFM.dpbs Cheers Andrew.
  5. Thankyou all, Just doing some chain and sprocket research while I measure/fit the Bandit swingarm, once I have the swingarm in I can look then at the chain run and see what will fit ie 530 or 520. Cheers Andrew.
  6. Cheers GIXER1460, thought as much, thanks.
  7. Select force converter in the drop down box, kilogram-force left column, pound-force right column Phew clear as mud.
  8. This seems abit more line ball, https://www.translatorscafe.com/unit-converter/en-US/force/
  9. Sorry here is the DID list, https://www.supersprox.com/did-chains/
  10. Here is DID chain, The best 520 on this chart is, DID VM 520 G/B 8050 lbs. Maybe the conversion for the JT chains is not correct but again they seem atleast twice as strong as anything else. methinks the conversion is a bit apples and oranges. I'll see if I can find a different conversion table.
  11. If I am reading these tensile charts correctly, RK chain ultra XW ring 630GSV 11300 LBS/per ft 520GXW 8800 LBS/per ft JT chain 520 HDS 4020 kgf = 29076 LBS/per ft. I have used RK 630 and have been very happy with them, have never used a JT chain but if the tensile strength is accurate they seem VERY strong. I'll see if I can find DID brand for tensile strength. Cheers Andrew.
  12. And the conversion from metric to imperial. http://convert-to.com/conversion/torque/convert-kgf-m-to-lbf-ft.html

  16. I came across this chart when looking for sprocket for my conversion. Might be useful to someone. https://www.xam-japan.co.jp/sp-top/sp-suzuki/ Cheers Andrew.

    AFR tuning

Normally baby steps with the pilots too. I had the same AFR at idle low 11:1 and went from 37.5 to 35 pilots and that gave me around 12.7:1 or so. Close enough for me as I avoided taking my cabys off like the plague. But atleast you have seen a change be it waaay the other scale of AFR. The o2 gauge takes alot of the guess work out. Cheers Andrew.
  18. Please use what you can from my setup. I used new GSX 1100 head to carby rubbers to to fit over the larger 38's and 38 carby rubber clamps. For the airbox rubbers to fit over the ( these have the ROUND not the oval type) carby inlet I removed the metal spring ring from the rubbers. Cheers Andrew.
  19. The 750 motors are shell type mains bearing and have a higher oil pressure than the 1100 roller bearing mains. So a switch to suit that pressure I guess. 750 1100 Suzuki dealer Mick Hone lists this oil pressure switches for the 750 be it 82 or 84 as below. Hope this helps. Cheers Andrew.

    AFR tuning

Do you know what size your pilot jets are ? They will affect your A/F at idle to 3000rpm (they did on my 38 cv) that was roughly where my pilots and mains crossed over.
  21. Exactly and social and it would be interesting to see how much our bikes output in power. Cheers Andrew.
  22. Let me know if this sort of post gets me a warning or ban...
  23. I know not all dynos are the same but maybe we can have a dyno off from around the world with the other OSS brothers and sisters. Sort of like a dyno world cup. With dyno charts posted. Cheers Andrew.
  24. Not sure about B8EA spark plugs, Down here we use D8EA as a starting point. Cheers Andrew.
  25. Good tip Ben, And I used the '91 GSXR750 hose clamps on the rubber at the carby side as they were a bigger diameter to fit over the 38's. The engine side is standard GSX. And the mixture screws are on the underside facing down, I use a cut down screwdriver and most importantly a piece of thickish cardboard that fits on top of the gearbox and around up to the barrel fins to protect your hand when you adjust the mixtures when the engine is warmed up. Fricken hot !!
