  1. Magtan makes a wheel for the H2 that looks alot like the old snowflake wheels called a JBK and then theres the 2010 kawi wheels that look similar to the old snowflake wheels with a more modern touch
  2. I dont know why I thought mine was digital I also have a 81 model 750 oh well must of been tired when I wrote that
  3. Interesting enough both the 550 and 750 have redline at around 9500 to 10500 as max I dont plan on revving my bike to the moon I dont trust 30 plus year old valve springs
  4. Anyone ever used a 82 GS550m ignitor on any other aircooled lumps I have 2 to play with only reason I bring this up is because I've read its got 5 degrees more electronic advance than my GSX750 unit which has a 15° BTDC below 1500 r/min and 35° BTDC above 2350 r/min Will the extra 5 degrees advance at above 2350 r/min make a difference or will it be negligible Rolling roads or dynos for motorcycles are rare as hens teeth on my side of the world so my preliminary results will be conducted via ass dyno
  5. Use the the parts microfiche for both motorcycles to crossreference alot of the time they will use the same picture with different models sometimes they change the part number even though the part hasn't changed "superseded"
  6. Will be following this closely always been fascinated by all these high end exotic frames there wasnt much of them in my country
  7. 5/8th's or 16mm is best size according to multiple forums and sources I've seen this and a combination of new friction material pads with braided hoses
  8. They look like their SEABRING wheels
  9. Could we have a better side pic of the bike those could be RC Components wheels here is a archive to their website in 2002 if I'm correct those are spun aluminum wheels hence why they're hollow in the centre of each spoke https://web.archive.org/web/20020209210732/http://rccomponents.com/sportbike/sport.html
  10. Look for Suzuki Gn switches they can be bought new from eblag or most Chinese bike suppliers they're almost identical to the old gsx units
  11. What chrome? that looks like polished aluminum with a clear coat over it to protect it
  12. Definitely off of a 850g intake port looks decently sized and the head has provisions for a tensioner at the centre of the head this was lacking on 1000 engines
  13. It is but the cost comes close to buying a new one maybe you should look for a oem, aftermarket alternative or from another motorcycle brands with the same length and mounts never limit yourself to original unless your a purist and want it to stay original
  14. It is it causes rust and clearcoat issues
  15. Where I stay we have a wind called the south easter its quite hectic sand and debree go's anywhere it pleases
  16. There is sand ontop and bellow the dust cover just scared cleaning isnt going to be enough I'll post pics when I get home I dont want to bugger up the new chromed stanchions when I get them done
  17. I'm rebuilding my forks with new seals and orings but the dust covers at the top are close to impossible from last recount to buy new in south africa is there a way to fix them or can I run them with new fork seals after cleaning them they're not cracked
  18. Interesting upgrade I've seen was cbr900 rotors and sv650 dl650 dl1000 calipers it would require brackets, spacers and bushings
  19. That looks terrific! Anyone stuck one of these heads on a 750ex block before
  20. Thanks after some more research doesn't seem it will work sadly. It would of looked similar to a period correct cast iron disc used on the 70s and 80s ama racing bikes
  21. Anyone have a VL1500 or VZR1800 rotor to measure might just fit other suzuki wheels as its also a 6 bolt patern could be a light weight upgrade
  22. Cool bit of bike brochure history there
  23. Strange that it would have ET forks with leading axles maybe someone kept the original forks
  24. Been following you on the tube love your projects
