  1. Micky, Bought mine from Harris performance, cannot remember cost, I had Acu licence at time so had discount. Looking on website looks like £200. Easy to fit but splicing and soldering of loom depends on your set up, if runing Dyna dead easy if stock think you have use relay box, ive forgotten exactly, as previously tried many different experiments, latest method is fresh in head, certain experiments Ive not logged down in my logging book. Need to make shift rod to suit aswell.
  2. HM strain has being fantastic for me copes well with rubbish suzuki gearboxes.
  3. Nick your be fine ratchet stops tensioner from back off. I use manual tensioner mine road come track bike. Adjust 500 mile ish not problem Auto tensioners do fail.
  4. Use carbide burr and slot your original cam sprockets.
  5. Nice one Clive well done. Time to sort clutch for good now, and your reation time.
  6. Got my 11 on 1186 kit to 160 hp with 40mm cv with original airbox and k and n to this figure on stock emulsion tubes. Yes engine was worked and worked in everyway but got it there. Do not junk airbox you need it on track bike and donot be persuaded otherwise.
  7. Dyno jet kits are really good once set up but they do not last I was changing needles and emulsion tubes yearly, on track bike they develop a hideous flat spot coming out slow corners its kills the bike honestly. Another reason why I developed the following.
  8. Nick at Pdq simply the best. Guy they sponsor on kwak, you wanna see them both go at Donnington this weekend. Not the cheapest but you do get quality work.
  9. Stay away from the dyno jet kit. Your be replacing needles and tubes every 5 minutes.
  10. The racing bikes back in the day gained quite bit of power keeping the oil cool.
  11. Dude you really need to sort your needles and pilot settings out, main jet hardly coming into play in your rev range.
  12. You not mentioned needles theses are most important bit main jet for full throttle openings. Adjust these and check difference. Sounds like dyno time needed.
  13. I can stick mine on stand saturday for the day, if theres room.
  14. Clive I had completly forgotten about that, I was pleasently surprised with body work had stashed at Keiths. I will come get it now got enthusiasm back. Thank you.
  15. That will do wont it. Need some time in saddle. Is it on road too or just track.
  16. Sounds like you doing pretty good really. Fair play.
  17. Here is dimensions for spacers if anyone wants to make themselves a set.
  18. Hoping to visit Saturday just got to fix clutch.
  19. Get idea out your head for drag use only. You need a gauge to set needles etc etc. No no no.
  20. I had extend stand on mine so i bored steel housing and machined off set bush to extend throw. Clive your method to simple.
  21. Nice info Del. Im not so keen on 520 chains and sprockets they dont last too long. I snapped a good quality 530 chain in Isle man that was only year old. I remember thinking why chain developed high spot so soon must change it when get home. Then bang lesson learnt there I reckon. I drilled and lockwired casing together to get working clutch again. Depending on how many threads on shaft you could machine new spacer leave lock washer off green thread lock in place , but make sure its safe and enough engagement. All your into maching collar and welding gear on like dragbikes but they use out rigger bearings.
