  1. Right, from next week forward, I'd like to get started with the build of a racebike. One of the wishes I have is having the battery where the alternator usually lives. Important things; It needs to strong enough to start the engine a few times, it needs to be able to run for the best part of an hour, it needs to be light, and it needs to fit in the space I have in mind. Anyone have any examples that would fit my criteria?
  2. Superb. Anyone have a blankingplate going spare?
  3. I bet it stopped at some point
  4. Linkages; to get it working properly, the bottom linkagemountingpoint needs to drop about half an inch. There are brackets available that bolt straight on. Using the Slingy linkage with dogbones to suit will make it near hardtail; not good
  5. This is the reason we started the website again If this really works, that'd be amazing
  6. As above. K-series GSXR swingarms (along with Busa) fit with tophatspacers, but getting the suspension to actually work is a bit more involving.
  7. No, don't think so. Last time I checked the hand bent Ti-systems where about 1800€ for the system. This would be far less special and priced to sell. I sure hope I'm not wrong
  8. I really wonder what the price on these is going to be. If it;s half decent, that's me off to the shop
  9. 500Kb per attachment, yes. If the page doesn;t let you upload, check if there's any pics already in your cache from earlier post. This seems to happen at random. If that fails, there is the option to use an outside medium like Photobucket. This will also save you resizing and lets you copy pics to OSS. The 500Kb-max is purely for bandwhith and therefor cost. We have to pay for everything you see ourselves

    Wheels!?

As far as tyrechoice goes; yes, the Bandit wheels will give you better choice, BUT, with classicracing getting ever more popular, proper rubber for the older wheels is and will continue to be easier to get. Personally, I love a proper build with bigger wheels, it makes that much of a difference to stand out in the crowd. Pics to prove my point; Jelly's bike
  11. I guess you don't run starter or alternator on the dragbikes? How did you blank them off, if this is the case?
  12. Decent Li-battery probably. If it can run a session (20/25min) that would be allright. I think I'll chance it.
  13. But with startermotor and battery (duh) How long will it keep going?
  14. @Pedda; any more on the orange EFE?
  15. I like to go round corners
  16. Stay away from Xenon/HID; the old loom doesn't like it, as I found out in the dead of night on the M25
  17. It's easy for the oilcooled world to go proper racing and get away with "unplanned dismounts" due to the fact that Heavy Duty case covers such as NRC exist. For the aircooled school of things, this is a bit different. What are the off-the-shelve options, if any? How did you do this yourself or what have you seen on your travels? Pic for your attention
  18. There where 4 or 5 out on track, so it was well balanced
  19. Don't know how many members from holland, we can't filter on location. All original RK, including tyres, with less then 1000 miles on it
  20. Got 3 other bikes on the road atm and 2 not far off. One day I will be building a proper Turbo bike, but not before some others are finished
  21. If it looks the same, it is the same. The differences are in the CDI
