  1. lots of the part numbers are different for the gears unfortunately???
  2. https://oldskoolsuzuki.info/archives/category/the-vault/page/3 its all in Frankensteins guide. I was going to read it all to let you know, but cant be arsed this one was exactly what you described, jumping in and out of 2nd... young kid moaning that it was supposed to be buillit proof, but broke.. Talked to his dad when i picked it up, he would start it every morning and immediately wheelie up the road stone cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Cheers for the offer, shipmate, I’ll have it to bits after the Anglesey classic festival
  4. Yup hopefully they just plopped into the sump and are sat there
  5. Yup they usually are, just checked my other engines
  6. This was one I put together from bits of 4 engines as a spare…. It ended up in my bandit as bandit motor was in teapot…. bottom end came from a power screen engine I bought for peanuts, can’t remember having alternator off, just looked in sump cleaned strainer and put it back together…..81mm barrels, set or second hand wiseco 1216 pistons with one set or rings missing, spare mr upperton head Gsxr1100 cams, it went surprisingly well for a bitza!, probably should have checked the alternator gear. hopefully nuts and washer are in sump
  7. Hopefully Clive….. With luck the nut and washer plopped into the sump and didn’t get tangled up with anything else. anyway swapping engines from teapot to bandit before Angelsey in 2 weeks….. I’ll look at it later.
  8. pulling motor from bandit as it started rattling and feeling strange at Casle Coombe last week... Fek my old boots!! that explains a lot
  9. He’s right you know……… where does the hole go????
  10. You have obviously missed the bit where you buy a manual and read it, if you don’t know whether you need to remove the cams, then you really need to read it……… 1st thing to consider, endless or split link!
  11. Ah, yours is. 750, mines 1100 didn’t realise.. I thought they were all the same, obviously not
  12. would be good to find out where its gone???? any pictures before it went away
  13. Yes Ally plug by the look of it, ill have a better look later
  14. Excellent….cheers shipmate
  15. Morning ladies and gentleman anyone got a manual with the GSXR 1100 shim head valve clearances in it please, Cheers Fatbloke
  16. You can get 25 mm back with this, so the K1/2 would be about 735/740 mm and that’s ok I’ve had several bandits with 740 mm forks.. obvioulsy you need to add a spacer to the top bit so the clamp has something to grip so it doesn’t strain the top part,,
  17. K1/2 are way too short, 710/715 mm instead of 775mm as B12 standard, i fitted a set of K1 ones years ago and smashed the mudguard into the oil cooler when I braked really hard... slingshot the easiest like Tony said, but difficult to find now... Heres the chaep way to make a stepped yoke, weld 2 top ones togtehr, worked fine for years until I had a posh ( expensive ) one made..
  18. Yes it went OK, still uncomfortable though, sorry didn't get to see you but had to shoot off lunch time shipmate ............ some nice stuff... This was in my group and the noise it made when it shot off was epic i like good brakes.............. and for once no bits fell off.....................
  19. What a Hoot that was, Brian redeemed himself, had a right laugh... here's a vid of an old bloke on a 250 LC Turns out hes a bit of a classic racer,, Brilliant fun...
  20. Camshafts and cylinder heads, depends how much power you want and how much money you have GSXR 750j/k cams drop in and give a good boost of power with a race can and decent air filter, if you can find them
  21. They weren't restricted as such, that's all they were designed to make, 98HP, some of the European ones were restricted to 80 HP.. BUT its very very easy to up the HP, using GSXR parts.
  22. It is indeed, but I think there might be a lot of old duffers out there on Saturday
