  1. so has this bike run with that specifice igntion siwtch ever?????? 1st thing id check is the secondary earth plug for the loom, small spade connector just after main earth connection near the batery, if thats unplugged or badly corroded it wont fire... 2nd is do a volt drop check on the battery, if the battery voltage goes much below 10/11 volts when cranking then the cdi wont spark anyway, had this a couople of times with b12's with batteries that wont hold a full charge, they look fine static at 13 or more volts, but when truning the motor over it drops right down..
  2. but that wont tell you if the bandit switch is duff, the b12 cdi wont work with the gsxr ignition switch if it dosent have the correct resistor.
  3. Fook me that is a long way norff, nearly in Scotland.....!!!! If your short of bikes, Chubbs, you can borrow Brian, Im sure we can get it up there some how, but ill be working away, I think straight after crimbo... I might even clean it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cheers Slim..
  4. was it a pain to jet?? no i took it to a dyno and had it set up properely, that was about 8 years ago, all ive done since is clean them once and balance the cabrs every year.. works a treat, pulls well.. many years ago i spent 2 days with a big box of jets and a dyno jet kit, got it running well, or so I thought, had it dynoed later and the improvment wass amazing..

  7. depends if you haved a standard old bandit shock, how fat are you, do you ride 2 up?????? Ive got a standard one here with an under tray and it shows 160 mm top of tyre to undertray, and that hasnt got any marks of the tyre hitting???? You can always raise the ride height in the rear anyway... Only way to be absolutely sure is to take the spirng off the shock and refit it and lower it down onto the bump stop..
