  1. I was made redundant many years ago, I had all those parts on the red one, forks, wheels engine and stuff but no frame, a B6 frame with V5 came for nothing so I spent my time building that one. Same with the others I built, cheap bits plus available spare equals 6/12's...
  2. Oh I see?? also the bottom triangular engine mounts are welded on a 6 bolted on a 12, the bolted in front cross piece is not fitted to 600 frames, and the lock stops ae different width's.
  3. I know bugger all about slabbies, aprats from my Moto martin has a slabby swinger,, will a slingy one fit ????
  4. If you have short legs then adjust the ride height with different dog bones
  5. 600 frame 1200 engine, and, like Tony said, upgraded everything, done it several times. And whats a " frame mount diameter mod"
  6. I was so impressed it started and sounded good, I forgot that it started using the stick coils, so the wiring must be right
  7. This one never got started in the 7/11 so its the first time since fitting the Dale Winton High comp pistons and Mr Uppertons head.
  8. well fuck my old boots, it only bleedin' works https://youtu.be/L1RpPhbHWTw
  9. Made the last hose and completed the cooler plumbing Wound it over with no plugs to get oil pressure and check that we have sparkies. Progress at last..
  10. Now back to Brian did some wire chasing to sort the stick coils did some Temporary wiring to see if we have sparks
  11. Just need to say, I had one that colour back in 1992, uk was water cooled not oil cooled like you lot over the pond.. It’s the best colour scheme for a slingshot ever I know one or two members might not agree, but I’m right
  12. use either, B12 or slingshot, the b12 wheel and slingshot wheel are the same hub just the spokes are swept or straight, if you use gsxr discs they go straight in, if you use b12 discs you need 4 x 1.8 mm washers to space the calipers in as the off set is different.
  13. Back from Romanian now, so i have nearly finished the Mark 2 Bandit i was fixing. Did you know it is entierly possible and very easy to fit the plug from the ignition pick up into the spreedo socket on a 120 Mk2 loom, then spend and hour trying to find the missing sparks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How embarasing,, anywwya its just abouit finished so I can crack on with Brian...
  14. Ex Matelot, 1977- 2000 stoker then Tiff, Yo Ho..
  15. No worries shipmate, the doctor says the hernia should pop back in
  16. He must have the idler roller as the chain is tooooo long else, and there might be enough room with the runner still attached to the cover? never tried it with gsxr cam chain and bandit cover, only done it the other way round.
  17. Dont forget the B12 rocker box has a chain runner on it for the hyvo chain and the, idler wheel isnt used on the B12 and needs to be replaced with the by the reinforcing plate..
  18. Nice one Chubbs subframe could do with a bit of beefing up
  19. I nearly had to get Mrs Fatbloke to sit on the engine!! anyway, just a 5 week trip with work away next week, then at last crack on with Brian......................
  20. span it over with no plugs to check oil pressure.......... 42psi?? I seem to remember the last one I did was 80 ish psi, then remembered it was minus 2 degrees when i did that one.. So i check my good engine in the Bandit, 38 psi.
