It had stood for a long time without running so I was making sure it was good as I've never seen it run but the bore was well within tolerance the rings I used were oem parts they cost £££ as did all the other parts

The bores were good I did hone them I've done 20 miles since rebuild and smoked from the get go

Hi has anyone any experience with rebuilding a gsxr 750 engine 1991 I've fitted new piston rings and lapped in all the valves fitted new stem oil seals and when running its abit smokey is this normal ?? When I've pulled the plugs they look fine how many miles do I run it in for ??

Thanks for replying ppl I've just bought a set of gsxr 7/11 carbs I'm waiting for them to arrive so all is good and ready to put it in my bandit 6 so I will keep you all posted on how I get on

thanks if I re jetted the carbs for gsxr 750 jets would that work or would I need to use the proper carbs I've heard that bandit 12 carbs would work is that true ?

Hi I was just wondering if the carbs off my bandit would be ok I'm worried that they might restrict it

Hi has anybody got any experience in fitting a gsxr 750 engine into a mk 1 bandit 600 if so what is needed the engine is from a 1991 gsxr 750 cheers
