If ya can make a bracket the guessing you could mount a slave to the clutch lever on the casing.
-
@blue dog. You could change to hydro if you have the later models 94/95 as they have hollow shafts. But then you would need the rf9 clutch case and chain case too but you would need some fettling with the clutch to mate up with the pressure plate. I'll have a look sometime to see if its doable. Unless someone knows diff.

Eh guys I'm keen on doing Rf swap also, just wondering is it possible to use the Rf carbs on 750 head in anyway? As don't have carbs from the 750,
Cant use rf carbs as they are down draft type. They would sit at wrong angle. Should get set 750 carbs reasonable price.

I am toying with the idea of swaping the clutch gears from rf9 to the gsxr750 basket so i can still use the cable. I'll let ya know how it works when track bike done.. It will be a few months as yet tho!

Oh yeah. Me thinking about shum where else i expect. Haha soz about that. I'll have a think ( not too much tho my head goes funny). Me sure i worked something out about using cable instead of a slave cylinder.

I have a cunning plan.!

Rf9 is the cheapest way as legotoy suggests tho you'll end up with a hydro clutch. Use rf900 gaskets to fit 750 head on. Should be good fir 30 hp gain. ( no wheelie wire to cut, justs wheelies!) Yer 750 water pipes should all fit lovely. ya prefer cable clutch use the rf6 sprocket cover. You'll also need shum down pipes too as the 750 are to short . K1-k3 1000 down pipes/ headers are cheap and are titanium!
Uk and europe got the w/cooled from 92-95. State side 93 onwards.
No point swaping cams as the same.
Magnesium covers are just for added lightness. People charge to much for them!!!!
One more thing. You can get a 999cc kit for the rf900 too. Nice.

Wish i had a k5 in my workshop! I've a 750y in workshop but thinking difference would be useless. Setup looks the same tho. Any use?

Just thought about water pump clean inside? Or carb slides?

Starter clutch, cam chain, altenator,. Long Screwdriver will help you source it.

A problem shared = bike on the the road. Yippee! Pleased for ya. Have a good Christmas.

Sv forks do fit but are shorter and softer. Sticks it on its nose but rides ok tho needs stronger springs. Lose ground clearance too. Not one for hard braking.

Not off hand apart from ap or isr. What wheel you fitting in the back?

Might be a silly question but have you connected the right wires from cdi to the right coils? Are cylinders 1and 4 connected to one coil and 2 and 3 connected to other coil?
Coils need to be fixed firmly tho to something solid so as not to shake when ya ride.
-
Yes. Regulater in back of alternator. In short it could be to much current but could be bad earth or battery. If yer coils break down that load has to go some where. And first in line is cdi. But on other hand ya could have been unlucky and bought a bad cdi. Cdi could have a dry joint. checking and fault finding in short the answer. And as fbob says. Bandit ones have different part numbers for a reason. They are different in revs and prob timing or something.
Best get that multimeter out.
-
Before fitting another cdi i would advise you to check your charging circuit and your coils just to be safe. 88-91 750 use same cdi. Not certain about bandit ones tho.

I just been looking at an 1100 on a H Plate and that has a v711 engine too. 1127 on barrels. Tho it has 1186 sprayed on rear seat farings so I'm guessing its been fettled. I cant find anything on that v711number either.
-
Ok. Then best try and see if it works. Or you could have a disc made to fit. someone may be along shortly to advise.

Only if you space caliper out. only a few mm clear as standard. What size you thinking?

Something like this. Imagine that as a slave cylinder actuating the clutch.
Master clutch of yer choice. Think someone done this on an early oss bike.
