Sam-Jaffa
snipped from the wiring diagram, showing what connections the ignition makes and where i have marked in blue shows which circuit the resistor should be in 1 Quote Link to comment

Frankly if peeps can't work out how, even with limited electrical knowledge, then they shouldn't be asking!. It is there for a reason - may be for the peeps who have to ask how to delete it? Sorry if that offends anyone ...............................deal with it LOL! That is good point have to admit. Man hope this is last time I have man flu so spending more time on net then doing stuff. I must have temporary gone soft. Quote Link to comment

Captain Chaos
Ok, just found the Mk2 B12 CDI unit and part of the wire loom. It has one big plug with 16 positions, of which 12 are used. No orange/red wire though. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this bike? Quote Link to comment

Captain Chaos
I have measured the resistance between orange/yellow and black/white on the ignition switch in the on position. It turns out to be 150 ohms. So a 100 ohm resistor is enough? Quote Link to comment
Sam-Jaffa
yeah, its 100ohm 0.5 watt Quote Link to comment

The bottom left pin (on the block of 8) is connected to earth via a 100ohm resistor. Hi.I'm having the no spark issue as well. the engine spins over but no spark. Marty
Hi. I'm having the no spark issue as well. The engine spins over but there is no spark. Are you saying to cut the Or/R wire on the lower left of the 8 block and splice a 100 ohm resistor into the Bk/W wire feeding the 4 block, and then just blank off the cut ends of the wires to let them wave in the wind? Thanks, Marty. Quote Link to comment
steves1828
I see this is an old post but I’ve been looking at a modified 2003 600 bandit and trying to tidy up the already modified wiring with a Lucas 3 connection ignition switch. While tidying the negatives I didn’t realise what looked like a poorly made connection between two different coloured wires contained what now looks like the previously mentioned 100k resistor, am I likely to have blown the controller or anything else? Cheers in advance if anyone is still following this. Regards, Steve. Quote Link to comment
Gixer1460
No, removal of the resistor just means it won't start! Quote Link to comment
Dezza
Dunno about the mk2 but the Mk1 600 Blandit does not have a resistor in the ignition switch. I use one on my Harris Magnum and took it apart to check before fitting. Quote Link to comment
