Carb ID Question?

Having looked at jet kits etc, i noticed these carbs aren't the same as GSX1100F ones. I assumed they belonged to the engine they came with.

Can anyone ID them properly? They are tin tops without the balancing spigots?

They look like the ones I have - 1100J. The g,h have those odd brace thingies holding the bank together whereas the J carbs have conventional rails. This is shown on the parts fische on the Robinsons Foundry website.

Well going on the bottom rail i would say J model, but the top rail is slightly different. Also the tickover screw mech is different to all the GHJ models?

And another baffler, Fowlers fische shows the top rail, adjuster & tops as the same. Only the bottom rail don't have the middle carb cutout.

So maybe after all, they are GSX1100F carbs?

And can anyone explain why the GHJ & the 1100F have differing sizes of jets, 2x middles generally 2.5 smaller than the outers?

Sure it's not bigger jets in the middle? Done in other makes of bike too. Inner two cylinders have bigger jetting as they runner hotter than the outside cylinders which get more airflow. Aids cooling to the inner cylinders.

Oddly Fowlers list 110 mains for ML & MR then 112.5 for the LH & RH  on the GSX1100F

And 127.5 to 130 on the GHJ  same as above, larger on the outside?

Maybe it's to aid extra cooling to the outside? Some Suzuki engineer might have figured it helps cool the oil better running through the block?

Only a guess on my part though.
