Burnout
So i am going to be using a motogadget mini speedo on my GSXR 11 and i am wondering if i can use this sprocket cover for the pickup ,i do believe its a mk2 1200 bandit (correct me if iam wrong ), so will it work on the GSXR with the correct sprocket ? what do i need to make it work ? will it even work ? crow
Yes it should work assuming the motogadget can read the signal (should just be a case of wiring it in right?) You need a little castellated metal widget that bolts into the end of the output shaft. Same part on bandits & GSXRs from early 2000s Quote Link to comment
colinworth79
just need to drill and tap the end of the output shaft m6. Quote Link to comment

I got round that little problem by welding the castellated trigger to a sprocket nut. I seem to remember there was a little bit off turning /fabrication to make it sit right but it did the job perfectly. Quote Link to comment
zedhead
I did that as well Bluedog - although the first time I did it it just popped the castellated 'speedo trigger' off as soon as I tightened it up as the output shaft was longer than the thread of the nut! :-) Quote Link to comment
fatblokeonbandit
I've done 2 of them, on both the output shafts were case hardened, so the middle was easy to drill, worked a treat 1 Quote Link to comment
