Highest CR on an 1127 low boost (190bhp)

Afternoon all. Would the 10:1 CR on the standard GSX1127G be too high for relatively low boost applications? Going the 1216 Busa slug route eventually, just in the meantime........ :) 

The system was about 189bhp on Paul's old Bandit   ET

Probably ok if you have AFR and ignition timing right. I have run stock GSX1100E engine, 9.5 CR, up to 0.7 bar boost. No problems, produced something like 160-180hp.

I ran stk bandit 12,top end 10:1 ,on my hybrid for 1000,s miles @ 7psi never an issue! 210bhp.1052 pistons do fail on the lands but I'd say that's due to fatigue /age normally. Busa slugs cheap fix for 1216.

You can retard the ignition with a higher compression, but you loose lots of power, they're really sensitive on ignition timing, I estimate you loose 10 to 20 hp just like that by retard the ignition too much. Had it with a car and my bike.
