madbeezer Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 First of all ,,,, hi peeps i am new to this forum ,, the question i have is that i have a gs 850 bobber 1884 with a set of barrels / top end or a complete engine ,,,, fitted of an 1100g i bought the bike in bits ,, few years ago got it running great but the clutch is away ,,, i bought clutch plaits for an 1100 but after removing the knackered one the new plaits look bigger ??? so they will need sent back ,,,, so Help is required ... does any guru out there now the difference between a 850 clutch and an 1100 ,,, apart from the obvious ,,, the 1100 looks beefier ,,,, look forward to hearing back cheeeers peeps Quote
Cheeky4648 Posted October 8, 2017 Posted October 8, 2017 Welcome to OSS the 850 and gs1000 used the same basket which took 1 less plate but the plates were bigger in diameter. The 1100g uses the same plates as the 1000, 1100 and 1150, 16 valve engines. Hope this helps. Quote
