Sam-Jaffa Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 Any idea what ran the longest throttle cable out of the oil cooled lot? The one i had I gave away with my carbs and now I need one, always the way Quote
Swiss Toni Posted February 27, 2017 Posted February 27, 2017 If you've still got the old one, either measure it, or send it to Venhill or similar. If not, take a measure of the routing from throttle to carb linkage using curtain wire, and send to same. Or Wemoto's 'Slinky Glide' cables? Quote
Sam-Jaffa Posted February 27, 2017 Author Posted February 27, 2017 I don't have the old one unfortunately, I just know that it was pretty long and a standard Suzuki part but can't remember if it was slingshot 1100 or bandit 1200 Quote
boilerdude Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 There is one other factor. I'm running a bandit cable with 750m carbs. The bandit cable is not only longer but also longer at the ends. It's "looser". So I need my cable adjusters all the way out on the last thread on both the carbs end and the grip end and it's still got a cm or 2 of play. Quote

boilerdude Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 (edited) maybe... I'm saying I have to run both adjusters all the way out and there's still noticeable slack. Maybe I'm mistranslating what I feel in the throttle tube to actual cable slack. But still. it's not snug and tight like most people have it. And is unable to be.
