Good morning oil  cooled gurus!!!

I will soon be acquiring a power screen motor to squeeze into my 550/600 ratbike thing.

I was just curios to a couple of things...

what the biggest front sprocket I could run on it?

How much taller that a 600 motor are they?

Would a set of bandit 1200 carbs suit it?

Cheers guys

Cheers guys, 15mm, Jesus, didn't realise it was that much of a jump......good job I've got an empty engine at home, I'll space the head up 15mm to give me the right dimensions and see what the clearances are like

Haha, cheers Viz!

Need to start a project thread on here about it as its had a few incarnations so far and big changes coming over winter, maybe a little visit to Fooey too, as the poor 550 frame isn't designed to take the power of an 11 so maybe a few braces here and there ;)

it don't need bracing [apart from the bit where you sit] go see dookester, say 'viz asks how many penny washers required to fit the 1100 lump?'

b12 carbs will work, no need for a silly sprocket on the front....two big modifications with a mash 'ammer to the bottom of the tank, it'll fit like a rubber glove on a chickens foot.

I had a gsx1100f motor in a gs550 once, had to cut the bottom frame rails to get it in, ran the standard 15t front and 52t rear. B12 carbs will work, but the b6 zorst will not fit as they are a bit short.

Exhaust isn't an issue as I have a gsxr1100k 4-2 fitted so should be fine, don't think I'll have to cut the rails and I've  modded the frame to take the 600 motor, I will have issues taking the rocker off I'm sure.....
