Katana seats.............

Morning all.

Don`t know if its been asked before but my lad has a couple of spare frames and bodykits (no seats).

Apart from 2nd hand are there any companies making new kat seats anywhere.I looked on the vietnam seat site but none on there.

I've bought a couple from German Eblag (Eblag.de). Just had a quick look and there only seems to be a brand new giuliari one on there at the moment, if that's your thing.

russbusa had his kat guilliari seat restyled and recovered to match the original kat seat. nobody makes the bases as an aftermarket part yet.

I don't know how different a Kat 650 seat is but they often pop up on ebag ..

ANd there is a bizarre Giuliari one on there at moment that the seller is not sure what it fits

550/650 kat seats are totally different,i bought a 400 kat one cheaply just to try,it will need a lot of restyling/cutting etc but i think it can be done.A remanufatured base would be ideal but as already said noone makes them.I will soldier on,cheers

when i built my Katzuma i looked for a 750/1100 seat for ages but couldn't find one !!! so in the end i got one off a 400, they are basically the same but not as deep as the bigger bikes, when i fitted it the 1100 side panels where too long so had to find a pair of 400 side panels which are shorter. worked out ok in the end, so maybe a 400 seat can be extended at the base to give it the depth of an 1100 one ?    by the way when i looked their where 3 400 seats to choose from at the time.
