clivegto Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Does the mk1 B12 clutch gear on the back of the clutch that drives the oil pump have the same amount of teeth as the mk2 B12 ? Quote
Joseph Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Seems like the same part number on both bikes ? Quote

Joseph Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Provenance must be wrong then because there only seems to be one part number ? Maybe i'm not looking at the right thing ? Quote
clivegto Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 I believe you it's the other fella I don't believe 1 Quote
Joseph Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Maybe he'll be missing a few teeth at some point ? Quote
wraith Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 @fatblokeonbandit is probably the man to ask 1 Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 22721-27A03 68/34 teeth Mk1 and Mk2 the same. 600 bandit has 64/34 teeth. 1 Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 bandit ones 600 and 1200 have big holes in as well???? Fek know what that one is ???? Quote
colinworth79 Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Mk1 and mk2 bandit are basically the same . Inlet rubbers , alternator , exhaust cam and sprocket cover only variations I can see between the 2 motors I have stripped down here. Oil pump gear looks like it's off a wp . Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Mk2 has PAIRS, 3 wire neutral switch and different pick up plug as well as the alternator, everything is interchangeable, just connecting plugs , except the neutral switch.. Quote
clivegto Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 Right story is I bought a mk1 engine from a local lad who said he had removed the clutch to fit to a mk2 but gave me what he said was a mk2 clutch Quote
colinworth79 Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Clutch basket should have 72 teeth Quote

Jdeac Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Mk1 clutch on the bench. Mk1 clutch in Mt bike Do you not have the one I traded with you to compare? Quote
clivegto Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 I'm fairly sure the clutch is B12 but god knows what the gear on the back is of. Quote
Jdeac Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 Any chance is of something like an rf motor or teapot?? As you have the engine are the teeth on the oil pump correct to stock bandit? Quote

clivegto Posted September 1, 2023 Author Posted September 1, 2023 Curiosity got the better of me so went for a look see. Seems like some one has tried to run the wrong gear in this motor there is a tooth missing of the oil pump gear and the one on the clutch is a bit mangeld on closer investigation. Good job it was cheap. Quote
