White79bu Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 (edited) I recently bought a CalFab swingarm for my GS1000E. I'm slowly collecting parts for it. Do I need anything special to do the swingarm swap? I've never worked on a bike so this is going to be a learning experience. Edited December 3, 2022 by White79bu Quote
johnr Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 we need pictures. not sure we will be able to help, but ive never heard of a calfab swingarm so i want to know what it looks like! if it was made for the bike, chances are itll use stock bearings. 1 Quote
wraith Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Welcome to OSS Plus one with johnr But someone on here may know just what you need, a lot of clever people on here Quote
johnr Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 not the most handsome swingarm ive ever seen, the wheel mounts make my eyes bleed, but i bet it wont flex too much judging by the size of it. Quote
rodneya Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 Best bet would be to contact Chris at Motogp Werks in California. He made the arm. If it was made for the 1000 it should be a straight fit as long as you have the adjuster blocks. Pic of the new ones he makes. Quote
White79bu Posted December 3, 2022 Author Posted December 3, 2022 I contacted Chris he was able to confirm it was a CalFab swingarm. But I don't have the adjuster blocks. I bought it instead of an 1100e swingarm because it was the same price. Quote
Highwaystar Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Got one on mine, polish up real nice 2 Quote
tobar Posted December 18, 2022 Posted December 18, 2022 the end of that swingarm looks like the original oss sticker x2 so possibly the most apt swingarm to put on an old skool suzuki 1 Quote
Dezza Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I like the swingarm that looks like it has the head of a T. rex on each end. Dinosaurs are cool 2 Quote
