GS1150 VIN 00001

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Over the weekend I picked up a couple odd bikes from long term storage. The Suzuki is a GS1150, VIN 00001. It's not a complete bike, missing the engine, seat and both wheels but everything else is there, very nice tank, cluster, forks, etc.

Any value as a decent start to a project or should I part it out.

Opinions please.

Note: the early Z1 rear wheel was just to make moving the bike easier.

Idc about the 0001 Vin number on the 1150.

It is the 1135cc  air cooled engine what made it legendary.

As the most valueable / expensive part is missing- i too would dump a big oil cooled engine plus running gear in it and hoon about .

Gsxr1100 or GSF1200 can all be made to fit with new engine mounts.

the 00001 bit is only relevant if it also has the original matching engine and the original amount of rivets fitted. Nobody else cares.

So install an oilcooled engine and a big f-off turbo. Don't forget to start a project thread on here. :D

AGREE.

Me bringing it back is out of the question, I know my limitations. All I have is an interesting find. I have the title so I'll post it complete before parting it out.

I'm not going to congest the forums with off topic replies just to get 50 posts.
