Gixer1460 Posted June 22, 2022 Posted June 22, 2022 Cooked how? Can't say i've seen 'cooked' cam bearings! I've seen destroyed journals through oil failure and damage caused through poor oil maintenance / changes. But 'cooked' implies overheated / burnt? So IMO, common - No! 1 Quote

Oil failure due to high oil temperature half the cams I've seen for sale second hand are ruined on the bearing surfaces. Quote
clivegto Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 Cam failure in my experience is usually caust by blocked oil ways. Quote
