  1. So a 96-06 R1 Throttle tub inside the original switch block?
  2. I've been tinkering and riding, Enjoying the bike a lot ..I'm just asking this throttle is slow isnt it,I'm ringing it's guts and I realise ..oh... it's not wide open , and there's a bit left. Anyone swap out the twist grip for anything faster?
  3. Hi Guys, Has anyone used the ram air sock filters thst were suggested with a B12, if so what size did you use?
  4. 120 psi is the Max handle pressure of common replacement auto oil coolers available in almost any size with AN fittings. I int going boost anything but cylinder head pressure.
  5. My apologies that was a mis communication.. I meant all oil burners... So if I figure for rads and lines that can reduced temps by upto 50 degrees and stand 120 PSI... I should be good for a high compression cammed engine?
  6. Are they the same? What kind of PSI are we talking about... And... Whst is normal running oil temp range. Sorry so many questions
  7. Can't get em on blower don't respond to emails or phone messages
  8. Wider, taller... I need more lol
  9. I can see it working from pics Anyone tried it?
  10. Seems like the exhaust finally being right has given me good use able power right up top. All of a sudden 10K red line is a bit conservative, can see cams making it more so... What is the real top end RPM for these engines? Or is it already correct lol
  11. I've done it before on a single over head... Can't see it being a problem.... Might ring Kent.... See what they say... About adjustable cam gear (not V Tech lol)
  12. I wonder who the fek that was..... Lol
  13. Roger that Tony.... I must be going blind. Is it coming for them to be missing entirely? Ordering up new O rings tomoz.
  14. I've been keeping an eye out for some slabby cams, dot heads... Its just not happening tbh.. Anyone buy Kent Cams? Must they be timed with vairable timing gear? Never used variable wheels on a bike engine, but built a pretty mean Pinto on which they made no difference lol... And I drove around terrified they'd come loose. Toying with Kent Cams and a head skim. Stage1 Just the free flowing exhaust made a huge difference, feels like it set free 30 ponies I've never known an exhaust transformation like it... Must have been dog shite to start with
  15. There isn't a recess on mine, there is a chamfer on the inlet..... Thanks for all your assist..... Would be amazing to see the right fiche... Make sure km getting thr right part... This gentle weep of oil is driving me mental.
  16. Hey George, no O Ring recess on my rad George, as I said the 2000 Mk1 seems to angle in from the middle instead of going straight up, and I can't find a pick with an O Ring....suzuki dealer call tomoz lol
  17. Hey everyone, project Bandit coming along nicely brakes and handling sorted...looking good sounding good... I've got a weap of oil coming from the clutch side oil line to the cooler... (obvs)... When i put the cooler on there was no gasket and no o ring, this is the later version that enters from the inside out of the rad, not straight up from the bottom... Is it supposed to have a gasket or o ring, I cannot find a drawing of that variation... Hope everything is good with you guys and everyone is enjoying their bikes in thr good weather.
  18. Well I agree, however many pod type filters actually come with those fittings and using the rubbers can be tough with some filters that are supplied.... CV carbs don't work the same as slide carbs they must have smooth air at the lip
  19. Awesome... That's just what I intend if I can pull it off.
  20. Great idea! Can you take a pic? Close up? If I get you straight the air box rubbers run inside the foam filters or??
  21. Pods often don't run well on CV carbs due to the way they attach to the carbs. Depending on any step at the mouth where they join the carbs. If there is no step they will be OK. I've bullt several specials with CVs not a Bandit, but they had CVs and one set of pods would have a huge flat spot that no amount of. Rejetting would ever be able to fix. Suggest. You find out what pods others are using with some success
  22. I had one when I was messing with my old Ford's lent it to a mate usual story they only forty quid
  23. Yeah... So true... I'll buy a ring grinder
  24. I'm asking because I don't have a gapper any longer.
  25. Just about to buy the kit, just wondered if the rings need gapping.... Checking and most always gaping or almost never when bored in tolerance. Cheers all...
