GSXF 1100 clutch discs - Solved

Skimmed a tad off the push rod and it is now working much more like it should

Feels like there is a bit of slip higher up in the rev range when you give it some, but maybe i need some uprated springs due to the state of tune ?

I heard that the R springs are softer than the F springs ???

And i clearly have no way of identifying what the provenance is.

With a hydro clutch, is the extra spring rating noticeable like it is with a cable clutch ? I'm hoping maybe less since it is the fluid and piston doing the job ?

Ok cool. I think i will give them a try, not exactly expensive

On another note i was told that the reason the F springs were harder is because they have more coils than the R springs. Makes sense that the extra compression would do that, but can't understand why a less powerful less torquey engine got the hard springs ?

Anyway thanks everyone for their input in this headache

More coils would make a softer spring (longer length of wire), larger diameter wire would make a stronger spring, fewer coils would make a higher spring rate.

neither is it mine.

Many Brits and Muricans don't know the difference between fewer and less

I bet you're a barrel of laughs to be near when queuing for the '10 items or less' checkout at the supermarket.:D
