kolf1216 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Hi guys been along time since ive been on here, looking forward to reading through the posts. Ive just got a 1200 bandit into the shop for clutch replacement, took the cover off and its not the usual diaphram clutch id expect to see. Its got a 5 bolt spring type which i believe is a conversion used from the gsxr but im unsure of its type. Can anyone please advise what is typically used ...... CheersKolf1216 Quote
Gixer1460 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 With 5 bolts its not an oil boiler clutch - they are all 4 bolt to my knowledge - odd one! Quote

Suban12 Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 It could be a 04 Gsxr600/ 750 clutch mod.Got that in my Mk2 Bandit.Very simple mod.Just need inner basket ,plates and 5 bolt hub..Not sure what other years can be used.Works really well with no judder and a light lever pull. 1 Quote

Suban12 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Got to ask...is the B12 Mk2 clutch the same as Mk1?Some differences in plates etc but the clutch basket is the same part #.So for this conversion using gsxr 600/750 parts should be ok. 1 Quote
