I should be able to make this one Paul

My gs1000 has k&n air filters and a Vance & hines exhaust but I still found increasing the pilot jets just made it too rich…..that said, I’m in the uk and the climate can make tuning different, but I’d be looking at fine tuning the carb’s again before swapping out the jets

Count me in please dave ….with the gs1000 this year

I’ll double check on mine when I get home but I think it’s around 3/8” before the chain starts hitting the frame…..I’ve also had to use a non o-ring 530 chain (slimmer than the standard o-ring type).

The 750g jdm that I had fresh into the uk in 1991 had the red speed warning light that a lot of people talk about, which flashed above a certain speed……it still pulled an indicated 145mph (obviously on a private road)

Here’s a few photos of mine Kev, plus the official blurb from a dealer set up manual…..it is a little fiddly and care should be taken with your wire routing

When I fit the tail piece on my gs1000 I do have to push the rear light down and backwards a little for the tail piece to slip into position, it doesn’t need much but moves just enough on the rubber mounts.

That’s going to be a great do…..gutted that I’m already booked up to be on a ferry to Ireland the same weekend

Cool, thanks for checking it for me mate…..sounds like it’s the same measurement as a gs1000, close but no cigar.
