I'm on the roundside vm26ss so may not be the same?

It's a real nice offer but wouldnt want you going through all the trouble stripping down and having to replace gaskets and stuff.

Do you know of a carb expert that can be contacted?

Already off the bike, i'll do it in a bit ;)

  2. I was about to say ones for VM26s & other for CVs but your bike has 26s on?

The "kit" should be for your carbs, so not sure where that goes wrong?

Unless the screws that have broke (3 of them?) are wrong for carbs & that's why they broke, just too pointy?

I said most people call them that....

Not that it is correct xD

It was meant to say CO btw..... just a Wraithian typo or autocorrection happened.

Sorry, but saying CO is even worse than the original fuck up  post :L

  4. Engines are pretty solid, not much to look for that isn't real obvious.

Go for a GSX1100F engine as they're the same but quite a few people are unaware & tend to be a touch cheaper ;)

  5. Stripped, cleaned & about to reassemble but i noticed a problem?

On the Slide guides there's a hole on the plastic tube that holds the emulsion tube.

Only 1 big hole, but does the guide hole face forward or backward? I'd guess forward, but who knows?

Guides can go in either way round so not much of a clue there. Pics show front & rear & the parts fische doesn't show them apart!

missed a slingshot this morning. think i,m going to hold out for a slabby frame and standard swinger then.

got a bandit frame to cut up and weld while i,m waiting for parts.

my tig only welds steel. should have got a ac/dc one.  the cheap chinese alloy ones were tested out by chris ireland at desperate dan customs and found to be great for the money..

Hang out for a 1100 swinger too, slighty longer wheelbase ;)

turns out r736 is inazuma motor. early ones were black.   any good?

got a lead on a frame but it,s a wp model.   will my bits fit.

thanks for all the input. flying blind here.

Yes, but a lot of pissing about & not weorth the trouble. Stick with Slabby/Slingy 85-92 frames ;)

You've already said in a previous thread it has the larger fuel tap hole so it's an 1100 H/j tank.

So the previous thread about my 44mm tap was for a GS1000 tank.

The other thread was about a stripped thread where i didn't mention size, didn't know there were 2 sizes on Slabby tanks as well!
