And some twin shock bikes don't look right with mono-shocks. GS's for example. Whenever I see one with a mono-shock set-up it looks like something is missing. Just my opinion though.

Yes, I believe that is correct.

GSXF's look kind of like a giant blob of snot. just my opinion.
-
No worries. I'll text you some pics later on.

Small world. It's Mark from Ontario. My GS1000 build has been stymied due to not being able to get parts but I believe my sprockets and shocks should be arriving this week.

I had to send mine out to get done. I tried on a small bench press and couldn't budge it.

I've put a 2002 bandit front end on my 78 GS1000 and the GS stem fit perfectly in the Bandit yoke. You have to redo the stop and steering lock though.

to customise or not to customise? ....that is the dilemma

Ah. Right. My donor is a 1200 Bandit Mk11. Parts very compatible with GS. -

I'd agree with twin shocks too. They look kind of weird without I think. Wraith, sorry, what does RWU stand for? -

Here's another good example. The world has enough cafe racers. If I see one more GS turned into a bobber I'm going to shit! -
The OEM cables are too long since the stock bars are a higher rise than what most people use. I broke several cables until I figured this out back when I had my first GS1000 after installing my Barnett clutch kit.

Please post some pics when it's installed. Curious to see what the ground clearance is like (can't fit mine up yet cause the GS is still up on blocks).

Thought so. I have the header only version that I'm goinf to graft an old Yosh can onto. Might see if I can modify it to a quick release set-up too. The Motogpwerks one's are beautiful but more than twice as much.

Wish it did. Mine's lunched.

https://www.suzukipartshouse.com/oemparts/a/suz/50d4022ef8700230d8b4e6a1/seat-gs1000c I had a look through the microfiche but dont see them. Maybe they came as part of the pan (but that's not a available anymore).

Shit. Love the "bends"....stupid auto correct
-
Noice! Gotta love the bands on that Yosh header though.

Assuming that's a Bandit back and what hub did you use to reduce the sprocket offset? Thanks Mark
